  1. Ah, see now I'm no so keen on the Dell laptops Fujitsu as 100% design and build in house on all but the cheapest.
  2. I've always rated Dell myself. Never had an issue at MOD and that was 100% Dell, and we had to look after a lot of it ourselves in our dept.
  3. Beware! I'd only recommend with an old glue gun used only for that purpose! Otherwise I just look out for SWA kits on ebay that are near sell-by date. Got a load of 3M ones lately, £1 a pop! They were for some obscure fibre joint, just opened up all the boxes and binned the odd y-shaped plastics.
  4. Still got tons of 'rs' black resin sticks exact same diameter as glue gun sticks. Use them every now and again.
  5. Lol. Did I say I found a quite nice ADT bell (and a galaxy panel...!?) abandoned behind my customers house a few months back, should have ebayed it, mongs go crazy over them.
  6. Nah this is mine... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tunstall-5160-alarm-panel-remote-keypad-new-price-was-110-/221526039311?pt=UK_Burglar_Alarms&hash=item3393fb1b0f but this is the gold... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/remote-alarm-system-unit-/271597903863?pt=UK_Burglar_Alarms&hash=item3f3c7f1ff7
  7. Hmm, that's not too bad at all... Funny enough I have a site I look after with those
  8. Its covert alright, Just a shame the choice of PIR cases looks like this....
  9. Ah. As you can see, skim reading was about as far as I got. At the end of the day a DiscStation with Surveillance station would do just as well.
  10. Looks interesting. Is this something you could install in a granny farm with 30 x £30 IP cams on then?
  11. I only deduced that because the instructions (used to) say you plugged the SPC into LAN with a specific private IP, than could plug in the Emizon anywhere else on the same LAN with another specific private IP. So, it must have been using native format to get to the Emizon? There was no mention of RS232. dial capture etc... Yup, uses EDP over IP (Bacronymed Enhanced, presumably once Europlex) http://www.emizon.com/images/PCGs/Siemens_SPC_Ethernet.pdf
  12. Hold the phone there, you support Emizon? AFAIK their implementation of the SPC involves the Emizon unit pretending its a Europlex Arc receiver? So does that mean it would pass images to Frontel as per the SPC format? Without you booting up the SPC software? When I was in Cov there was a loony that would frequent the outside of the healthcare building, dressed as Morrissey, singing that over and over again. FACT! (original lyrics version obv.) EDIT - come to think of it, who's to know it wasn't actually morrissey?
  13. @Matt As an ARC can you see everything on Gemini insight, not just your own jobs? Matt got his, I didn't
  14. No - still waiting for response to insight application form. Will chase Monday.
  15. Hard to tell really. Both sites had good GPRS (5 bars) on mobile on O2, so guess they wouldn't be looking. Also I still don't have Insight access - which I guess is how you'd know? Commissioned by observing green light (both full or flashing at least) and watching signals coming into the ARC.
  16. I was of the half hearted opinion that the stuff afterwards might get moved to trade!
  17. Sounds like they don't want us to have them, yes.
