  1. Not sure but someone did apparently manage to flog a Scantronic 95 with Rkp boxed for £300 the other day
  2. Hi, and welcome!
  3. Impress the neighbours?
  4. Deffo plenty of false alarms unfortunately, none since the replacements... How long do you soak test them for just out of interest?
  5. Almost sounds like the old 'actually a bit TOO close to the transmitter' problem, a bit like the time we tried to tune in our T2 campervan* TV underneath Crystal Palace! Can't knock Ade / Texe for support though must be really frustrating. Any feedback on those two faulty Exodus smokes I sent back Adrian? It's odd because I've fitted tons, and some have gone the full ten years without issue, a good example being I have 30 of them on a small estate of 5 houses I wired and alarmed, oddly they were new builds on a slope so huge 'basements' AND boarded lofts hence huge number), not a single false alarm to date. And yet another house fitted 2 and the heat detector, in the ground floor, of all places, FA'd. *hired
  6. I guess it actually stops the user entering a zero? UK (i.e. ancient) version of bloody 9651 didn't let you have zero as first digit, since that notified the system an engineer code was about to be used. But... still lets the mongs use a 'zero' at code change time (it says not to in manual) then that's it, once timed out or logged out it'll never work again without defaulting
  7. Or turn off built in LF detection I suppose as a temporary fix? Not ideal, but there are other ways to show failure / disconnection of the actual unit. Can 'line failure' also be a zone type, in order to override bell timers though?
  8. Yes, but didn't they u-turn on that?
  9. Especially when you can't even make sure it's a local buyer! He's also just tweeted that thoroughly discredited 'da pinchi code' thing as genuine :bangshead: To be fair though he took it well when I politely linked to the correction article. A lot of morons would start a twitter argument using their company name as a banner. (It turns out, shocker, that jacked up criminals do not in fact like to help each other out like some good old boys club, but the nationwide symbols are from utility co's, who'd have thought...)
  10. Eh, it was posted 2 hours ago? Here's the 'shop' - https://www.facebook.com/pg/hamesandsonssecure/shop/?ref=page_internal Be hard to cancel if they are taking cash upfront.
  11. Speechless that a 'professional' security company would do this...
  12. Welcome!
  13. It is very easy to close these lids up without the tamper being closed, esp. if the original screws have been lost. I don't fit the 16 myself but the plastic case on the 40 / 40H / 30R is identical. Or just as easy, as the tamper switch plugs in via a molex (minature plug) for an engineer in a hurry to leave it off. As Al, have a look at the main unit and let us know...
  14. Erm... nope that's 100% not how it works!
  15. Aren't Foscam that cheap and narsty make that a lot of the Home Automation people seem to push? p.s Yes, I realise this post isn't helpful, but neither is your customer! Presumably it's not so much a password error, rather that the login string is incorrect for the camera eg. perhaps the NVR is trying 192.168.0.1/login.htm?user=bloke&?pass=hello when it should be something different? Can you manually edit this? Have had similar issues with e.g. Synology where you choose 'Panasonic E series' yet I had the odd-one-out in the range that is part of the 'E series' lineup but uses the login string from the 'Z-series'... I guess you're using RTSP? e.g. foscam apparently http://IPADDRESS/videostream .cgi?user=[USERNAME]&pwd=[PASSWORD]
  16. How do you mean - have you opened it up, and/or eliminated it by testing all the other zones you could find?
  17. Probably junk cable at that price.
  18. Oh right, have only fitted a handful of Prem's and didn't know that! A couple have double doors but I just did one door per zone.
  19. Yep as above it always threw me why people though you could 'chain' EOL then found out that gal supports it!
  20. You won't be any smaller than Norm, so, don't worry, post away, and welcome!
  21. Option 2 - Russian?! Presumably this enables the on-board mic and sets IPs for monitoring?
  22. This stuff 2 way?
  23. Yes, there is a workaround of sorts. Set up 2nd user using engineers credentials. You just cant see all panels at once. There is no such thing as an engineer account on the user side of SPCconnect though (if you get me) so you still need to log into the panels web through the connection the 'forwarded' panel web server the SPCconnect offers to do anything remotely engineery. This 2nd login needs the regular engineer details so user still has no access.
  24. That's exactly how the new Webway device works if I understand it. You can have a 2nd 3G module remote from the first by using 4 core alarm wire, i.e a data + power connection.
