Round about the time that ADI was still called 'Gardiner' and being about 20 or so, I asked if they had any old Scanny demo boards I could have; they said no but I could help myself to a Pyronix one that had decent screenprinted 'simulate tamper' buttons and everything on. I turned it into a Scanny demo board soon enough, already mounted was a Paragon or whatever just like the pic above (there was another panel which I assume was the 'working' one but it had been removed). The PCB had been pinched, but the membrane glued back. It spend the next 10 years in my parents neighbours shed with a solar powered LED to light the keys up through the window I say ten years, it could still be there now for all I know.

LOL! Maybe could do the reverse, if you don't pay on time, you'll still get an invoice from us but with obscene comments and services in the item description box...- 10 replies

Send one over, I'll review it! Must admit I often use 3" mini recessed speakers from cpc on posh jobs, only loop tamper, but usually very high up and G2 anyway.

Meanwhile, Mr Smith, who all the while was working in Saudi to keep Mrs Smith in pearls and little Brian in boarding school, sees all due to an unsecured cctv dvr and a hidden bedroom camera he had installed by his friend Al in better days. Arriving home after an 18 hour journey, and feigning a lack of knowledge around the whole Robin affair, he throws his emotions into lamenting the robbery, whilst hating both his weak willed wife and Robin equally. Eventually, seeing Brian as an innocent party not old enough to suffer the fallout from the infidelity of adults, it's Robin he decides to murder, for now.

A life wasted Mr H, a life wasted. Just think, you could have been the new Barbara Cartland.

Anyone seen a new BT line recently?
datadiffusion replied to datadiffusion's topic in Lines and Services
I just thought it was a narrow lens you used that day? -
Or you could just play with the 4 on board zones to get an idea! Either way it's true, you can easily default if you've already learned any devices.

Matt? -
Yep good point, due to mesh commissioning, don't enrol until you're on site with devices!
-
Yeah I know, point being no-one ever pays, same as very few are averse to selling to non-trade!

Only if it's liquidated headshop stock and adult sized plastic pants you're after. -
Ok, that's only got 4 wired zones (better than none!) although you can use an expander.

From seller 'la-itey'? -
Hi; as it happens, you already have the latest firmware, released 07/16 but still the latest. So, it's possible the entire kit is pretty new then. What's your exact model by the way, it should be one of these; Premier Elite 640 Premier Elite 168 Premier Elite 88 Premier Elite 48 Premier Elite 48-W Premier Elite 24 Premier Elite 24 (Polymer) Premier Elite 24-W Premier Elite 12-W Premier Elite 12-W LIVE

How long has the kit been hanging around for? My first thought would be to replace all the batteries if it's been left in the garage for 3 years as the previous owner didn't get round to it. It's a decent bit of kit. One thing I would say though - does it NEED to be 100% wireless, especially if you're a spark? Every wireless device you can bin is a win in my book, no matter how good they are. Do you have the UDL (download software) and how old is the on board firmware? You'll need an adaptor to upgrade it, but again, if it's been hanging around, could be a good idea. I would also fit a comms device such as a ComIP to complete the system (and it will allow you to log in remotely if they have any issues).

I imagine only the UK remains as a bells market? Looks like abroad they rarely bother and they certainly won't start now with wireless, IP type stuff being the norm for new installs, it's the usual 'skipping a generation' thing.

yeah, but that's a bit like the fake £1 cover price on the local estate agents magazine, or 'do not use your phone whilst driving' innit?

Went to a job the other day, to reconnect a privately owned careline (basically a handsfree hotline phone with remote fob) after building works. BT had fitted a nice new NTE, the brand new sort. Cable was clearly new and digitally printed/marked 'Openreach' every few metres. And has old, 1970s style colours, I.e solid blue, orange etc! Must be either to prevent cable theft or identify non Openreach direct additions. Bugger me does EVERYTHING have to go round in circles!?
