    Videcon want mega bucks for one of the blue units. Exactly the same as the unit on eBay coming from china. Edit: removed price - noticed we aren't trade.

    Very old versions of the 9651 would allow you to unset without the tick, but unfortunately it is now something you have to live with.

    Knew no different at the time. Back in those days we were given a box and told to fit it. It was taken out on an RI after we had proper galaxy training. I am talking years and years ago here.

    12v incoming to a smart Rio can cause all sorts of issues. To be honest though I've seen it done many a time and no problems whatsoever. In fact, I'm guilty, when we first started using them I did it on my first smart Rio.

    The texe panels are cheaper than I thought?

    Could be a range of faults on that panel. Control panel battery, control panel lid tamper, global tamper (detection devices), bell tamper, to name some. I would recommend calling in an engineer to check through it all. Check on the NSI website for approved companies in your area, or likewise with the SSAIB website.

    I bought a encore 8 tablet but use it at home instead of work now. Not sure if I saw the Linx 10 when I was shopping.

    But this is exactly why people expect things for free. I wouldn't have had a problem doing it but it would have gone on the sheet for the company to charge extra for. I am not sure what ADT's protocols are. Engineers might be instructed not to touch anything except the alarms.

    I once hung some computer screens on a wall in a server room whilst on a job. Paid me £40 for an hours work.

    Looks well. I am getting more and more enquiries for something like this. Domestics round here don't seem to be bothered about recording anymore, they just want to see something live if they hear something outside.

    It's a very nice drive. Usual mod cons, including Bluetooth. Mine is the S model so doesn't have electric rear windows and led running lights (amongst other things), have to upgrade to SE or FR for those perks.
