  1. We did this using a Risco wireless receiver. Easy job as the panel was a 601. What panel is installed in the pub?
  2. You have a NO door contact?
  3. Tbh I would get a local company in now.
  4. Ok Alarmscot. We must work in the same area?
  5. Price wise their Lightsys and Agility is spot on and there is profit to be made. PM me for prices. Panels are rock solid imo but iv used them for 15 years and any bugs have been sorted.
  6. Most new builds here have a spur next to mains for the alarm. Cable up to external bell and all wireless. I don't like it but customers expect wireless these days. No part P here and never had a problem.
  7. I am a big Risco fan but I believe most on here don't like Risco. Their bells are rock solid and only had 1 XS3D faulty in 6 years. Low end panels such as 480 and CPX are good for the money with built in speech dialler. 600 panel is solid . Their new B Ware detectors are easy to wire, set up and install. The Lightsys and Agility 3 are very good panels plus I would say the wireless is the best out there. Remember you can connect cameras to the Lightsys and agility adding extra security. I'm waiting for the Risco bashers now....
  8. No part P in Jockland!
  9. Could you install a contact device in the bracket arm that when taken of wall it trips?
  10. Hope you don't get mr grumpy at their tech as he will have you for breakfast!
  11. You mentioned he installed beams at the barn. Are these wireless? Do you have to programme the system from the start? Are you using EOL wiring?
  12. Have you an engineers manual for this?
  13. Data, I had a conversation with one of our top customers today. We do all his alarms, access and CCTV and I mentioned because we are approved that our work is inspected...... His reply...."oh right, you were recommended through a friend of mine" I stated that being approved we can obtain police response and intruders have been caught on his site by plod. He then goes" ah I remember that but I was called out and phoned the police as I saw people on site" FFS! So his call was attended to right away before ours! Visual verification is deffo the way to go now and at the end of the day it doesn't matter being approved or not. It's sad but true now.
  14. We should be able to give our customers what they want but I find myself having to spout standards to potential/current customers all the time. I don't mind that but next thing I see is spark company bell on property!
