Ok Alarmscot. We must work in the same area?
-
Most new builds here have a spur next to mains for the alarm. Cable up to external bell and all wireless. I don't like it but customers expect wireless these days. No part P here and never had a problem.

Help: Agility 3 Follow Me Not Texting

Hope you don't get mr grumpy at their tech as he will have you for breakfast! -
You mentioned he installed beams at the barn. Are these wireless? Do you have to programme the system from the start? Are you using EOL wiring?
-
Have you an engineers manual for this?

Help With Pyronix Enforcer Gsm
Alarm Protection replied to Ben Lye's topic in Control Panels (Public)
Data, I had a conversation with one of our top customers today. We do all his alarms, access and CCTV and I mentioned because we are approved that our work is inspected...... His reply...."oh right, you were recommended through a friend of mine" I stated that being approved we can obtain police response and intruders have been caught on his site by plod. He then goes" ah I remember that but I was called out and phoned the police as I saw people on site" FFS! So his call was attended to right away before ours! Visual verification is deffo the way to go now and at the end of the day it doesn't matter being approved or not. It's sad but true now. -
Help With Pyronix Enforcer Gsm

We should be able to give our customers what they want but I find myself having to spout standards to potential/current customers all the time. I don't mind that but next thing I see is spark company bell on property! -
The past 2 years of my life have just been **** tbh. Best mate, his sister and mum, my uncle and 2 of my aunts sisters have gone in 2 years and I came home one night and just said "enough is enough" I really thought I was going to have a breakdown but I say live everyday like it's your last and have as much time with the family as possible. I come home and and just have a laugh with the family. " my alarms not working".......will deal with it tomm

Plastered Ceilings And Walls Cctv
Alarm Protection replied to JaysonKandiah's topic in Members Lounge (Public)
Conduit? If done right it looks ok. Sparks get away with running it. Make sure your spec is right and when job is signed for you have it in writing.- 16 replies

When working on the void property houses in the Bradford riots I saw one of our guys getting his teeth smashed out by a metal tube.... Nice set of teeth he has now! Was in Glasgow before a Scotland game and a guy walked in after a good tanking to the front teeth and used a pint of lager as mouthwash... Jesus.

Driller!

One of my mates is in lanzarote and maintains ex pats swimming pools. Pulls in about 400 euros a week. Then on the side he install cameras to the local restaurants, pubs and clubs for extra dosh. Supposedly they are crying out for CCTV over there.

But a big welsh burd from the valleys as they say! Tbh she was a nice lass and drunk us scots boys under the table...... I'm sure I ended up under the table with her one night lol. As for being on call, not really had much this year tbh. I was ready to stay in Magaluf and had a job lined up when I was 23 working on maintaining pools but had to come home to sort a few things out. Never went back and the guy out there is living in luxury now. Should have just stayed out there.

Can't really remember jumping as it was the 13th hour into a booze sesh but the boys I was with said if the concrete post wasn't there it would have been an epic dive. Charlotte Church plus 10 stone but every hole was a goal in those days lol! Things you do when your young and free.
-
Right Driller!! About 10 years ago I was in a club in Magaluf when I decided to jump of the first floor balcony into the foam below. This was to impress the many burds in their bikinis below. The landing was a good one but I never measured the skid and I hit my head of a concrete post causing small chips in my front teeth. The head was sorted at hospital but I never bothered about my teeth. You can't see the damage from the front but behind the tooth. Now try are very sensitive especially when the hygienist gets her way with the scraper thing. Is it a nerve thing again? A fat welsh burd was well impressed with the jump though!!!

On the bevy oxo? I would rather just book the sales rep to come up and gave a one to one. Luxrite were up yesterday and I was impressed by them tbh. Good looking kit and the sales rep was spot on with info and knew his products. -
Gardtec 800 Series Programming Problem
Alarm Protection replied to Touran daddy's topic in Control Panels (Public)
IMO the alarm engineer should have defaulted the system and reprogrammed.
