Ok Alarmscot. We must work in the same area?
-
Most new builds here have a spur next to mains for the alarm. Cable up to external bell and all wireless. I don't like it but customers expect wireless these days. No part P here and never had a problem.

No part P in Jockland!

Help: Agility 3 Follow Me Not Texting

Hope you don't get mr grumpy at their tech as he will have you for breakfast! -
You mentioned he installed beams at the barn. Are these wireless? Do you have to programme the system from the start? Are you using EOL wiring?
-
Have you an engineers manual for this?

Help With Pyronix Enforcer Gsm
Alarm Protection replied to Ben Lye's topic in Control Panels (Public)
Data, I had a conversation with one of our top customers today. We do all his alarms, access and CCTV and I mentioned because we are approved that our work is inspected...... His reply...."oh right, you were recommended through a friend of mine" I stated that being approved we can obtain police response and intruders have been caught on his site by plod. He then goes" ah I remember that but I was called out and phoned the police as I saw people on site" FFS! So his call was attended to right away before ours! Visual verification is deffo the way to go now and at the end of the day it doesn't matter being approved or not. It's sad but true now. -
Help With Pyronix Enforcer Gsm
Alarm Protection replied to Ben Lye's topic in Control Panels (Public)
We should be able to give our customers what they want but I find myself having to spout standards to potential/current customers all the time. I don't mind that but next thing I see is spark company bell on property! -
AlarmScot, I now realise who you are and good luck.

The past 2 years of my life have just been **** tbh. Best mate, his sister and mum, my uncle and 2 of my aunts sisters have gone in 2 years and I came home one night and just said "enough is enough" I really thought I was going to have a breakdown but I say live everyday like it's your last and have as much time with the family as possible. I come home and and just have a laugh with the family. " my alarms not working".......will deal with it tomm

Plastered Ceilings And Walls Cctv

Conduit? If done right it looks ok. Sparks get away with running it. Make sure your spec is right and when job is signed for you have it in writing.- 16 replies

Just hope another flash upgrade comes out. You tried any Risco cybergibbons?
-
In new builds it's easy to get the bell and upper hall cable down. Downstairs just depends on panel location etc.
-
BT and sky etc can run their cables external and nobody gives a toss! I just use the enforcer unit or Gardtec. Job done and if you don't take a maintenance then call some other mug.
-
New builds are a nightmare to cable for ALL zones. We always go hybrid and most have front/back door wireless. With wimpey new builds there is a void above the front/back doors that we can route cables all round house.

No way is this kit as bad as others state. Prove me and many installation company's with what faults occurred and we can talk about it? No way is this kit as bad as others state. Prove me and many installation company's with what faults occurred and we can talk about it?

Never had issues like yours Adi. If your case is that bad I would get a Risco tech guy on site and they do this to address different installs. If you could tell me about the problems or pm as you know I install the Risco equipment please.
-
The agility 3 is a decent bit of kit for the money tbh. After bench testing and installing 7 now the customers like them. I would say the agility 3 is the best wireless system out there that can adapt to most applications for customers tbh.
-
It is a good bit of kit though You would like the Risco agility 3 then!
-
For what you need I can't see anything better than the texecom kit. The Risco Agility 3 also has what you need and the pir's have a built in camera that detects and sends to your mobile. Also have a look at the Videofied. You can have your house and external perimeter protected from 1 panel but that might be a bit ott.
