  6. HI, recently complete a intruder alarm foundation course, and soon will be taking the advance. I need some work experience next to someone who is willing to take me on-board, I currently have installed over 12 cctv systems, and I have IT knowledge (networking), I got my own car and tools. I am willing to work for free to gain experience installing intruder alarms. Only small request is to get help with petrol cost and congestion charges if working in the city. I live in Wood green (London) post code n22. I would like to work within m25 (north, east and west London) My email is ##REMOVED## and telephone number is ##REMOVED## I hope I haven't break any rules by posting in here. I am respectful, punctual and follow the employer rules (never give out my number to employers customers or take additional work for me. i hope someone could help me.
  7. Hi, not long ago I completed my alarm course for intruder alarms, but need some experience. Well I need to install a grade 3 texecom premier elite 48, with a pyronix grade 3 sounder, I already have all sorted out off the shelves, but 2 weeks earlier of ordering the panel and sounder, I already run the 6 core cable for the alarm before the premises remodeling took place. Now i just found out that I need 7 cables in order for the sounder to work, because it needs to be connected to aux and fault ports on the panel, and i cant run a new cable since all ceiling is finished. please any experience installer help me with this. I am enclosing the diagram as I have it with the 7 cables, and is working... hope you can understand my trouble. on the manual, the sounder installation is on page 33 INS177-7_Premier_Elite_Series_Master_User_Guide_(2)_4.pdf
  8. Hi, to be honest, I am not that experienced... I had some trouble with the bell installation, and doing only this way it worked for me, if you find the correct installation, please let me know, or anyone in the forum could explain. Also, If anyone could help, its any other way around when I use a 6 core cable? lets say I dont use the AUX and fault ports on the control panel and bell box... Thanks
  9. Hi, i am new to the cctv business, well i being doing it for 2 years now... done about 12 installations already, so i hope i could answer your questions, well this is how i do it... I dont use a app but instead I use a paper template for the cctv survey, where i take notes for each camera that is required or that needs installed. at the same time, i have a laser measurement tool, so i can measure roughly how much cabling or conduit i will need for each camera... At the back of the paper, I do a quick drawing of the floor plan, so i can transfer that drawing later in my office to edraw program for more professional finish. for quotating a use mhelpdesk is a web-base estimates, invoicing. I could use the app on my fone, pc or ipad..for road editing and emailing. i enclosed a pdf file, that looks very similar to mine, but is very useful hope this help anyone, and i look forward to other installer methods to make our life easier.
