I see, I bet some really old alarms are still going on, I thought it may have been something like they keypad wearing out
-

I have, there is no room on the board for a tamper switch, it would have had a metal switch, I know it's not an EOL problem because it doesn't give me a zone number, it just says 'tamper', I have made sure every single tamper connection is closed, it just won't work. If I press 4 and 9 it will go into 'Attack'. Any suggestions?

I tried uploading a full picture, it says the file is too large?
-
It has no tamper switch on the board. Just all these terminals and SCB is linked out too

I have got a new alarm and when I power it up, it just says 'Tamper' nothing I can do, I have linked out all of the tampers, but nothing seems to work... I have include some pictures

Haha, yeah, I will just wait 'till something goes horribly wrong on the panel, what is the main thing which causes panels to fail?
-
Haha, just our Paragon Plus hasn't been serviced since it was installed Before we lived in this house, it still seems to work fine though. It was installed by C.D.S. Security & Fire. I wonder how much longer it'll last?
-
Thank you It was for a friend, he wants one. How bad is it for an alarm to have a battery in it which hasn't been changed for 25 years?
-
I see, I really want an ADE Series 700 H.S. a very, very old alarm panel indeed, sadly, not much chance of that, do you know where I could get a Scantronic 9500?
-
Well, I am only 15 so I will just use it to mess around and play with, I may use it in my home, I don't know, I use my Concept 6 alarm to play around with. Do you take out many old Accentas?

It was on eBay for £15, there is still an Accenta 8 board up there. I will need to use my XM transformer and case to power it. It had a bag full of resistors and its manual.
-
Yeah, it was brand new, so it will come with one, why? Is it hard to Program?
-
Oh, please tell me, does it need the EOL resistors to work? I will have to use my XM transformer to power it, I have an early Accenta LCD keypad too, it is very different to how they look now, same casing as the INFORMA by ADE Honeywell
-
Accenta Mercury PCB? That was £15
-
Ok, I just like the simplicity of their alarms, I have just ordered an Accenta Mercury ABI PCB, it uses EOL resistors, so I am guessing it will be more complex than the Accenta 8 which is my current Accenta

Thanks for all of your replies I was just hoping to learn a bit more about this good company I am guessing at the time their alarms were quite cheap compared to others like Texecom and Scantronic
-
They are good panels, but due a replacement now
-
I know, I think it's a shame that they don't brand their own products anymore, they just say 'Honeywell Security' on them now I don't really know anything about them, so I was just wondering and trying to learn a bit more about this company. Their alarms seem ok, many of their old alarms still working now, I have 3 of their alarms, a Version 2 Concept 6, Optima XM and a brand new, unused Accenta 8.
-
Just wondering, they seemed like such a good company, there is nothing about them on the internet, all the evidence that they ever existed is on here with their old adverts.
-
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the old alarm company ADE, like when they were founded? Or where they were based? I don't know much about them apart from the fact that they made the majority of alarms in UK homes today, and they weren't exactly high-end Thanks in Advance

Haha, why did Scantronic discontinue the Eurobell? It is more effective at getting attention, then a siren. It doesn't annoy people like a siren ether
-
Thanks. I like the black Banham boxes, they look the best.
