  1. Hi SWB, Thanks for your reply. I'm new to this and didn't know. Thanks to your reply I have checked and understand some differences now. In light of this I am thinking of buying 4 of the Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I cameras now [http://tinyurl.com/mwrnm97]. Along with the RJ45 POE converters. Would these be okay and also would I need a NVR (Network Video Recorder) or would I be able to record using software on my home PC/Server? Thanks in advance, Dibs
  2. Hi, New to the forum and what a valuable source of great advice! I've read lots of similar threads with great interest. However, I'm looking for four POE, HD-SDI cameras and a POE switch. Currently I have scaffold around the house so we can have new guttering installed and I want to take advantage of having it and install a few CCTV cameras. I already have a single CAT6 cable running from the loft into my router downstairs as I always wanted CCTV and installed it ages ago for future proofing the house. My question is what do you guys recommend for POE CCTV with night vision and HD quality? I was looking at buying two of these: Camera IR IP66 HD-SDI RF3021 IN STOCK £98.00 and two of these: Dome Vandalproof IP66 IR Camera HD/SDI Analog RF3019 IN STOCK £95.00 £65.00 But I'm not sure if they accept straight Cat6 cable? I'd like to be able to plug the RJ45 plug straight into the camera, without messing about with extra connectors etc... Any help/advice would be highly appreciated. Even a place that is reliable and trusting to buy from that provide cameras at reasonable cost. Thanks, Dibs
