  1. is the signalling using udp or tcp?
  2. I accept that but I thought the question was about a service not a takeover. I reakon an hour to do a takeover is speedy depending on the panel
  3. I wouldn't do the resistance checks on the cable assuming eol. If DP then its seconds. Id agree it shouldn't take an hour 30 mins for 8 or so circuits. Do you do the paperwork check and the walktest on the same walk around or separate walks?
  4. from memory too I think your right But its a way past it bit of kit good in its day
  5. Ah yes a terminal, cutters and a meter then. When you have to plug into stuff?
  6. Ive just got a surface book to replace my surface pro. I rated the pro as I used it for site visits, plans etc what do you prefer as an onsite device?
  7. yeah but unless low risk you wouldn't use a maglock
  8. if you mean compliant then no imo it isn't
  9. nothing either way I wouldn't try them. Consumer devices are that. Id rather use a pro internal device outside
  10. agreed active beams are best outside or takex sensors but I wanted to test them in a very harsh environment
  11. I have sensors around my house too, I do like to have them. Im using HKC wireless PIR Cams with pet lenses in. I do get the odd false alarm but as i can take a picture via the app i dont worry. However these are internal devices i fitted them externally to test.
  12. I've used the takex but not wireless i hear good things about the tower i must admit
  13. You have a huge choice of vibe detectors as its wired. A few years ago id say cqr trapper it was easy to setup correctly. Now id go back to the viper
  14. it does look a bit carp, but the op was looking for a quality product.
  15. It is a shame that you have to buy outdated gear (was even back then) to get the integration you would like. Hopefully at some point that will change
