  1. On the takeover, or bacon sw on the first day It's proper rare, some sell laminated as it but real bullet proof is huge. I did a gkn contract where they made it for hummer windows must of been 75mm thick a weight was as expected. In a shop window I'd say unlikely. But I was wrong once etc
  2. But not behind a 'bulletproof" window with risco detectors done as a diy job Sounds like a setup for a film. No one tries diy on high value goods surely? Remind me risco do the cheapest stuff or the best stuff?
  3. We should do a simplisafe vs verisure review
  4. Is that someone who thought dummy CCTV is like a grade 4 alarm system? But at that angle unless it's near an airport I'd wonder what it's looking at
  5. Sorry we don't give instructions for burglars to disable alarms on a public forum. It isn't as simple as removing a fuse for obvious reasons
  6. Glass break detectors don't usually work on bulletproof glass is it actually bulletproof? Grade 4 signalling is available but grade 4 detection isn't. What are the insurance requirements? I'd suggest shock detectors would be better and quicker than glass break assuming suitable ie not a main road. Also if you have installed it check chubb will do the failure to perform cover.
  7. Also what's the risk you are protecting. You mention grade 3 but it looks like it's DIY or are you the installer?
  8. How are the break glass fitted?
  9. Not knowing the application 'if' I just wanted to monitor an output oscillating I'd either use 2 trans relays with timers or esp32's However if I was life I wouldn't I'd want an output from the device because if I modified it and something happened I dont think I like prison
  10. Double knock doesn't comply. Windows tend to only break once too. You might be better with window foil. I hate glass break sensors generally but I'd suggest a different glass break detector assuming you have it sited correctly.
  11. An option but not the same as polled dual path signalling. I know selfmon does this just dont want it to look like signal availability is the same as use able path
  12. Agreed does it not have an output. What is the device you are trying to monitor?
  13. Is this a security warehouse complaint? I have scanned the post mind
  14. Sounds like a comms issue between panel and keypad. If you wire the keypad locally does it do the same?
  15. the tamper is probably global, not just the tamper spring on the panel. One of them will be open circuit either the sab you have replaced or the tamper input
  16. Also have you entered the code when powering it up?
  17. I use ha but if I wasnt an alarm pro it would be way down on the list. Look at the forums present is more important than authorised present.
  18. The ha thing is impressive we all want that it's the only thing that knows when we are out I bed or in
  19. There is a huge security issue of letting anything control an alarm. Think insurance liability in our world. However it should be doable having a pro system with integration. It is doable but needs more imo. However the standards currently prevent it. Some integrations require engineer access between which is daft. I would watch this space I'm working with a manufacturer with this in mind
  20. You need a hi lo sounder for that I see the benefit of connecting the to home assistant or mqtt etc but use a proper panel that can do that rather than bolt on a bodge
  21. yes most panels have a speaker output for alert, setting unsetting, chime tones etc. Some panels this is a switched output like a bell on others its a speaker output usually for a 16 Ohm load
