  1. only one I know of is the Vanderbilt / Siemens spc unit. uses up cameras for the video, does email alerts and x10 via modules.

  12. the point at the start was check for a battery powered smoke detector not on the alarm. Where is the beep coming from?

  18. go with a system that does a wired siren then, however assuming your not setting it off every day lithium cells do last a couple of years

  21. billy, you want the best for the lowest cost. The pro's here do the same years of testing and research. I myself have tested lots of gear i wouldnt use in production but tests well I have to say if pure diy stay away from the better pro gear because it isnt easy to get right
