  1. Ade i have seen the 'new' beam std. I tend to avoid comment on manufacturer stuff but what are the differences?
  2. lol yeah i know that but i did make it to replacing the existing menvier for a 1070 at mine. If it had been a gal i probably wouldnt of replaced it. We are **** with our own stuff. I still have the cct that was fitted in the mid 90's at work even though we havnt used it new for over 15 yrs
  3. when you ripping it out of your place then?
  4. no reason not to use plastic for shutter contacts from a reg view. You may choose not to use them but no reason they cant meet the requirement. afaik material used in manufacture is down to the manufacturer. However we currently allow (as we always did under 4737) self certification and any installer relies on the fact that the device they are using is actually compliant to the reg. Now i 'could' as sw self certificate a device as any grade. But... approved installers are the ones issuing the final certificate. That means the installer is responsible to ensure that a device meets that grade. With 3rd party certification from those that do you have proof you have passed that responsibility onto the test house. Anyone that uses non 3rd party tested equipment is taking the compliance test on themselves. Can any of us test it actually meets the component standard it claims reagrdless of the bit of kit?
  5. Rich which ones model number wise?
  6. but not in day mode. you cant get a graded shunt lock afaik, but you dont need one as there is no en for shunt locks so its old regs. We must bear in mind that the uk is different to europe in what we do. ie grade 2x which is uk only, which will change to 2f (i think on the new table 10) to add it to en not making it a 6662 thing. Same with the grade 1t that has been added into the new proposed table 10.
  7. self cert is something i personally hate but im not meaning that.
  8. iirc beams at still under bs not en yet under pd. The argument is a g3 device needs rear tamper and i dont know of one with a back tamper. Ade is better on regs in his head than me, id need to look at current pd
  9. you cant have devices outside the perimeter. Also i insist on bolts as self tapping fitting over the years work loose and come off. Bolts show damage etc and hold on longer You could do this but you cant have it as part of the confirm process
  10. compliance with the regs as a minimum
  11. How many followers do you get weekly? 28 awesome new followers for me! Grow with http://t.co/v177tI5Xnz

  12. you could program it as confirm but will need to reduce your rearm time and confirm window
  13. Some / most bb terms forbid using a server on them, which in effect this is.
  14. I run it a vm, single processor allocated and its also the udl machine. Id agree an atom isn't upto win7 but maybe 8 as its quicker than 7
  15. We use 3cx too but I was planning on migrating to elastix when I looked into it a while just never got around to changing.

  17. do yu really look at the vehicle they turn up in for the interview? i wouldnt dont see thats best
  18. id suggest its wired wrong, its causing a tamper
  19. whats the diagnostic reading when closed (short im guessing) and you only have the eol resistor not the shunt as well. It shouldnt be short when closed. Whats a lamp, are you passing current through it for test purposes and a lamp? you need a meter in that case
  20. all windows were externally glazed, but wood ones used putty etc. My wood ones are externally glazed and beaded but they are from 1901
  21. You can get them normally open. Have you metered it? You can get them normally open. Have you metered it?
