  1. Or connect it to the GS 232 ports but you will need a line fail circuit if you do. Most of my Gals are on 485 apart from where the ww1 is for udl only then i tend to use 232

  4. Id also look at the new mini webway. Connects via data rather than dial capture for signalling and udl. Plus works better pc end too.

  17. But it isn't though. As an os the support side is funded which in turn etc. Ubuntu is a prime example.
  18. i disagree on the charge thing. We have seen how sms was as a free service. btw who does anything for free? thats any good, is developed, lasts and is supported?

  20. i bet within 3 yrs domestics will be hiding keypads again (under stairs etc) and using apps. in 30-40% of installs. Then after that systems will be using apps and gps etc as 6wb says. The panels will be running a normal os (maybe linux / android but probably a version of windows) but this does heavily depend on what becomes the big car os. lol
