  1. Do orisec know you undo their whole trade and direct only? I don't think they class themselves as amazon.
  2. I try to be
  3. It's about 1200 a year if you want to send it this way out of your profits please do. I asked Elon but he went for the bigger platform
  4. Sorry I was waiting for your subs
  5. Not that I know off, maybe sevweb developer
  6. The wireless airspace is ever changing. Its telling you it has detected something that may jam a detector. Probably some cheap and nasty rf thing nearby unless you have added something yourself. Modern RF gear will channel hop when it detects this, i dont think the honeywell rf can do this.
  7. agreed a wood window is different to a plastic or ali one etc. Location of detector also matters a pro installer is going to do that right and setup accordingly However im with Al that a system would know and detect tamper not a different distance etc Also wonder what the liability insurance wise when allowing a sensor to be refitted without the maintainer checking on a fail to perform?
  8. agree with above. But i also agree its not very good that you cant get service because of holidays. Also note a company should control engineer access for theirs and your protection. I assume it isnt on a service/support contract
  9. Wow I assumed those bells were fake
  10. AG6 proves the point of hugely popular because it was cheap. Low cost stuff always sells better than premium regardless of the quality. I personally wouldnt go for a pyronix bell but again pyronix is popular...
  11. It definetly isnt I find the opposite. Most hits on pro systems are planned.
  12. Unfortunately we as a trade haven't moved with the times, someone seeing smtp as acceptable shows the misunderstanding. We know what proper signalling is but it isn't understood. OP you should look at signalling as smtp or push or dialler isn't. I feel that the message is lost (intended) If your It a mesaage delayed or failed for x hours is useless to us, we need I'd delivered in ms

  14. no it needs to be coming out of the panel so meter the leads with the battery disconnected. Waiting till the battery has totally failed will usually kill the panel
  15. Yes I have heard of this
  16. You may not like the costs but it not a scam. I dont like it but you need to be careful saying its a scam when imo it isnt. What if someone was to say what you do is scam etc.
  17. They are not a scam, but it very well marketed stuff. But again as has been said many times just because something is popular doesnt make it any good. Also bear in mind you understand these systems most people dont care and assume it meets the relevant standards
  18. it wont be 'working fine' it may be functional the only way to reliably check a fuse is with a meter, but if you can see a break on the 13v one that is the aux
  19. Best tell the insurance companies then Also there are reports of wifi jammers being used mainly to disable cctv notifications. IMO most alarms without some form of signalling are a bit useless. Neighbours note the time it rings to complain about the noise. If any burglar knew no one was coming they are going to carry on
  20. not the same as polling and only any use when unset though local failure reporting when armed would be a bit pointless
  21. The phone port is not the same and 99% of alarm systems WONT work with it. If it was the same why are they upgrading etc etc It may work sometimes. I have noticed that sometimes open/close events go through but alarm signals do not etc
  22. Are you sure you have a g3 panel, there were lots of iterations of the optima/accenta
  23. disabled disables the part set, you want it on timed or silent
  24. 'best' and 'easy' to install are impossible
  25. OK Pete I don't know the gear you are right on the one way thing but I'd of thought a bell is 2 way. ie trigger 1 way tamper the other way. It's a shame 1 way stuff is still in existence
