  4. It would make sense to upgrade but if well maintained can function for 20 years + but its probably older than that already
  5. should go all the way through, should be a 'coach' type bolt so cant easily be removed. If thats a risk use a different type of lock
  6. Its not using a cr123 but then it is little new keypad is priority, but the contact will be close, in white brown and grey
  7. I don't, but I will put them on when I upgrade the heating to room thermostats. I'm currently only using trv and the alarm to set the heating mode, ie comfort(disarmed) , night (part set) or economy (armed) I will shut off rads based on window and door contacts
  8. You want to screw them not stick. Alse re wedge etc there are thousands of window profile so it's either additional rf sensors or wired. As above I'd use a flush contact(s) but ob my own windows I only use the shock element
  9. Not an anything that meets en here. Hkc needs unique panel Id, programmable password and 4-6 digit pin
  10. Totally disagree with that statement Yes it's possible if using insecure ways/equipment/setup etc Best disable your smartphone/pc etc too
  11. Yes I have asked for it to be sorted. Let me know if there is any issue
  12. alternatively fit an external wired contact to the frame/window and wire that into your transmitter
  13. Logan please stop begging all the time. You don't want for sale and it is getting tiresome. If any of us have stuff to send we will as many of us have
  14. Yes or use a flush cabled one and wire it into the shock etc
  15. As above you need to request it then I'll sort it. I need to know your SW account
  16. Yes trade ones
  17. It is 1 way rf, its noticed the wired part is missing not the wireless bit but yes you are right
  18. The better hadn't be!
  19. OK, you will need to remove the rf device. Obviously you can't just disconnect bits of am alarm and it not mind!
  20. Shouldn't use more batts than every 2 years but you will need to remove all programming for the wireless side if you have removed it. I'm assuming this isn't under any sort if support contract
  21. yes im getting ready for the redundancy, we do loss covering when its likely to come back, going into December im gonna have convert my garden and brick a few windows up, this is an old policy right...
  22. no there is Honeywell, Visonic, Scantronic, EL, Vanderbilt, UTC to name a few. there is also the restricted stuff like hkc
  23. kits are generic and usually put together. Few pro installers would use a kit they should pick the right detectors etc for the application. Now your seeing why kits are far from ideal as there has to be a compromise somewhere also pstn is being switched off by 2025 so best not install something that can only use it
  24. plastic is a very good shock absorber so range is low. Again cant tell without site survey etc but play safe with 1 detector per section
