  1. Original optima was a black and red membrane. The xm bought the buttons
  2. The 9800 was cheaper, a lot of people think an alarm is an alarm ie all the same so buy the cheapest
  3. Many reasons, I assume your considering it then?
  4. id never use 1 way wireless for anything apart from maybe a doorbell
  5. You could use max from v1. 25 I thought?
  6. thats the issue with standalone. I think you can remove if you still have the fob but if not its delete and re add. Or use an online one or a standalone with a keypad
  7. That won't work with that panel
  8. Spc requires laptop for the cause and effect bits or the complex access control
  9. Offering?
  10. It might be your favorite panel but if you had a 'proper' panel you may think differently. My issue is you advise people to get an x when all you know is x. Like I've said Imo spc is the most flexible panel I've worked with, gal 520 close, menvier 2500 was a powerhouse, big premiers are too. Windsors I liked but hard to program supporting over the phone, hkc has unbeatable wireless Imo etc etc. If all I knew about motorsport was lawnmowers racing I'd probably recommend husqvana as better than a Merc or a redbull.
  11. No logon I think the castle panels were good. We stopped using them circa 2000 due to huge reliability issues but the theory of the panel was fantastic. There was so much to like about it but that was 20 years ago now.
  12. If you havnt heard anything drop me the info ill have a look to vett you. James
  13. Rich I assume its a post to get pm's. But as I don't know the panel
  14. If it's essential dont use GSM or pstn or IP without a polled path. If it's not essential use yours or another it will only let you down when it was needed
  15. How can you recommend anything without knowing what they need. You need way more info. Also why not an spc or a dimension why a bottom end audible only limited panel made by a Chinese manufacturer?
  16. There isn't much to know. Key position off = off Etc etc When was it last serviced I'm amased it's still working
  17. Happy Christmas to all at TSI
  18. Yeah should be fine
  19. about 30 months not quite 3 years I didnt but you ma want a bracket. I use the pet lens too
  20. rf ones mounted to places i cant get cables to for lighting and app alert as tech zones
  21. still do, no gunk tho
  22. T/EE = timed exit or final door terminate. final door means setting will complete when the final door is closed on leaving ET = exit terminate. Push to set button. Wont set till its pressed EE = final door Entry 1 normal entry time, on expiry entry 2 time will start but will give an internal alarm. At the expiry of timer 2 full alarm (Bells and comms) I dont know but id assume it will fire the external bells when disarmed if on. Default would be internal alarm only for tampers if disarmed
  23. No problems reported or no problems etc. Have a read of this https://www.pentestpartners.com/security-blog/hacking-wireless-house-alarms/ There are others on yale etc users don't have 'problems' either but I doubt you could recommend stuff on that basis?
  24. Well as your recommending stuff maybe know something about them? Also how do you rate the range and security of the pyronix 2 way option vs the hkc?
