  1. to do what you want a dialler is possible but you would be far better off with a native app imho
  2. Smoke detection in yhis case would be classed as ancillary devices and would not need to be disconnected. However they are not the same as a 5839 fire alarm. But i have smokes and Co on my own alarm
  3. You could connect the bell trigger to the dialler, the comms header is for proper comms devices
  4. You might have to change the setting mode to timed
  5. agreed top post gc
  6. Both brands are well supported here, I know more on the gal side personally but 6wb is much better on texecom
  7. agreed but just wanted to show its not a fault as such of the alarm its just reporting the problem

  10. I'd assume you have checked you can ping them etc from the dvr location. How are the wired, multiple switches etc?

  12. I use my hkc panel at home to run my lighting etc. Retro fitting home automation linked to the ia is one direction I'd like to go
  13. the google thing will be diy its a bigger market.
  14. You might need to enable address one in the panel too, always used to but I haven't worked on a euro in years
  15. If one of us could say that, I'm sure it would already be in development. Sky Google or amazon will control the mass market for security, they will sell it better than any of us could. Then it will cycle round again, the insurers will be miffed, the police and we will still be around to carry on....
  16. Yeah holding key d isn't defaulting info
  17. dont you have to enable the comms device?
  18. another vote for optex or Honeywell
