  1. Hi 1. That isnt normal 2. If everyone serviced systems this wouldnt be required however it is a good idea but i understand your concerns but isnt an issue for a healty system your 16 ohms, they all on one or 1 per expander? how are they powered? if panel powered have you doubled or trebled up the power?
  2. Sorry don't use the stuff. Is it part set or groups. Code and keypad permitted to arm b?
  3. according to the diagrom provided above its single resistor non eol so
  4. As above you need to disable the sab, self actuating bell in the bell. As H if its not pro gear or not installed properly then it probably won't work as it should
  5. We've launched a new panel - the EURO 76 ? James adds i thought it already existed. Was the euro 44 then the 76 then the 134 announced before my kids were born? i wait to be corrected.
  6. good news how bad were the ones you had? or was it range etc? ie what did you have before and what do you have now
  7. Hopefully nobody noticed but there have been a few upgrades on tsi. Mainly aiming for speed improvement on mobile mainly if anyone has seen a speed increase.
  8. Be interesting to know a little more about it. Maybe an actual reason to got to the nec
  9. i think we will have to agree to disagree Al
  10. i wouldnt want to send anything over IP without encryption. Al it your password 1234 or P4ssw0rd?
  11. Ive yet to meet anyone that didnt like redcare classic/gsm.
  12. if you have an additional 2 circuits where the 6 core goes back to (im assuming panel) then just use a pair for each contact (ie red/blk contact 1, blu/yell contact2 etc) and program the panel to the correct eol values. Wiring should be in the manual but if not just say and ill dig out an image. But also bear in mind how the contacts are installed. If there is an issue there however you wire them you will have problems. Post a picture of the 3 with the door closed please
  13. encryption prevents data being in sent in plain so it cant be read or intercepted. If sent in plain you could send the an open or an abort signal etc without it actually coming from the spt
  14. everything should be encrypted especially in security unless i missed the sarcasm?
  15. Also if its just std surfac door contacts how close / inline are they? Are they decent ones? maybe a picture of how they are fitted. As 6 says as you can now see fault finding is needed as all you know is its one of the 3 rather than identifying 1 contact. However if its stable with 2 and unstable with 3 id suggest its local to the 3rd. I presume as 6 its double pole and you havnt hidden resistors somewhere
  16. Is it a 6 core cable? If so just use eol contacts \resistors and put 1 on each circuit. Id only put 2 on 1 circuit if its double doors
  17. Anyone know of it/them Signal Dynamic - News - Signal Dynamic Launches Redcare Replacement
  18. Pretty much any hybrid or wired panel will do that. Assuming the peripherals are ok and of decent quality
  19. the IT industry is used to end of life devices. we have been reporting kit as eol for a while now. But noone upgrades security devices. Had an adpro fail today that was reported as eol years ago. but if it say a switch is eol it get replaced immediately even though its the same network etc anyway link to article Over 92,000 exposed D-Link NAS devices have a backdoor account (bleepingcomputer.com)
  20. If its new sounds like it's wired wrong not faulty but be careful you don't blow another board
  21. Agreed but the vast number shown just on that site shocked me. I didn't want to delve too much and see people's camera feeds but I'm sure plenty do. Be able to learn people's coming and goings at the very least And now that Google ai can use street view to work out the location be pretty easy to find out where
