  1. doubt it, wiring takes a lot more imo
  2. maybe he can add support for that panel, but why not upgrade to a galaxy dimension?
  3. Hi there
  4. never use 'pet' sensors. Mostly use quads
  5. the only panel i have used that can send emails is the spc.
  6. if its global stuff that makes your decision then there is only one uk owned.
  7. not that its relevant but HKC are testing their G3 panel. Not that they will sell many but maybe its because of the op view. My own system is a hkc 10240 if i didn't need wireless i would probably have installed a Vanderbilt spc
  8. there are different products. Most of the Honeywell stuff over here is galaxy
  9. i rate hkc highly maybe i should do a direct comparison for here. Sia uses hkc and hasn't had a callback ever for rf issues. I've also done test sites for it with and without mesh. But agreed it wasn't vs Texecom
  10. OP everything needs paying for. I would be worried about anyone that can supply any service for 'free' IMHO the best 2 way wireless is HKC but that from my sister comp actually installing it. Visonic and Pyronix are popular due to lower cost. Id search here for views on Pyronix. Honeywell are weak on product offering and availability. Id assume that will change
  11. wow. I wonder if data security issues for installers will be a part of inspection in the future?
  12. i would leave all sensors on pc2 but my own hallway sensor is on pc1. But id never have a one way system tho
  13. i rate crow detectors, never worked on a crow panel tho
  14. hi there
  15. you don't want the led enabled it will destroy battery life. Also they only work once every 3 mins of inactivity. It's one of the many downsides of one way rf systems
  16. no you should be able to unset with any means. I would say you have a config issue.
  17. is the world changing, do you need a spec anymore?
  18. op 6wb is one of the best on here. as he and I say Id look at keypad comms. you could always pay to get someone lesser than 6wb to look at it
  19. don't know the panel but I'd check keypad comms
  20. the idea behind it back then was so that the numbers would auto update. It was called chc. not sure if it still works tho, never used tap
  21. i have one, fluke LCD thing. used to be used for balancing inputs on multiplexers. can't see what id use it for now
  22. you can put an lcd keypad on them bit I've never put a scope on one
