i use the hkc but also have it monitored. Push is great for notification someone us on the drive etc but i use monitoring for the important bits -

you dont need the engineer code to change the battery. you ought to check the charger circuit etc if it hasnt been serviced correctly

i don't know of a decent free one? Also id be wary offering any customer a free service how you going to support it?

i really can't see why a service cannot be charged for. Most apps are charged, there needs to be income to pay for the backend etc, i myself don't do much for free
