  1. iirc all versions of insure are activated by Pyronix, so you would need to call them and be trade
  2. At 14 years id look to replace but you could change the code if the buttons are worn
  3. AFAIK its all US only ATM. There may be regulatory issues in the UK, ie what grade is alexa?
  4. seen as UK support for voice recognition on alexa and Cortana has just been released it might be a bit till proper kit supports it
  5. iirc its a WiFi converter from the Ethernet?
  6. i do like how they add 'pro' to it. It's still a diy product that is obviously vulnerable to attack.
  7. damn I hoped one of you could pop round for a look
  8. we all value your advice dave. Im trying diy roof repairs the weekend, just need to borrow a ladder.
  9. agreed but that isn't the feeling from the police themselves. To be fair to matt b he said the same a while ago. The advent of all self mon systems puts us to the point that 999 calls from any system will get a better response than a urn. We also have done the same re cctv. Why go 8418 when you can get a response?
  10. from my end the app is the selling point, not monitoring. Had 2 quotes this week for coppers, both said police response was useless they both said they wouldn't attend in time. I thought if the lads that get the call think its useless what to advise be better when/if ever
  11. I think the gsm only card has been replaced by the dual path one
  12. i believe hik can do Rtsp id go down that route operate usually needs native app
  13. hi Dave, as it appears you are you should apply for trade to have access to the busier side
  14. just read this on bbc. I know its a bit left wing but really? can the rest of us get the same leniency https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-46440172
  15. a zoomed out one? yes you will need to program 2 outputs. One as bell the other as strobe
  16. we can identify it from a pic but bell is the trigger so that will go to an output programmed as bell t is the tamper return
  17. sorry i didn't know you two were.
  18. al can you see his green badge?
  19. yeah I'd prefer it to risco too
  20. to be fair never looked or heard of it. i am in the process of building something around home assistant. Hardware is a difficult choice though
  21. iirc similar to the duonet
  22. that looks fine but you shouldn't really loop from the 0v of the detector for a circuit loop. Use another core
