  1. Hello!
  2. Estate Astra - does the job but nothing fancy. Would love a pickup though, not mad on vans.
  3. I've used Plan in the past, wasn't overly fond of it!
  4. Sorry i've given wrong info, i've informed customer this wont make it a fire alarm but they want a smoke head to cover the barn where hay is going to be stored. What's should I be looking for smoke head wise?
  5. Bonjour Customer wants a fire alarm installed in the barn, anyone know of any smoke heads that can be wired into a alarm panel? Thanks
  6. ServiceM8 - anyone tried this? Sure it's free!
  7. Checkatrade - bits now and now, don't rate it high Car sign written - got a job from it Flyering - nout and i've hand delivered and paid!
  8. Jeeze that's steep! If you push the 'i/OK' button top right it will give you current status, is there a yellow warning light too?
  9. Then it's 100% the alarm, what model Visonic is it? TBH when was it last serviced? If your mate has you in to take a look, i'd say a long time ago. Go get yourself some CR123's for the DT's and (CR2's?) for the door contacts and replace all batts. That should cure the noise, also another thing is it monitored? (phone line) because if it doesn't see the line it will give you a auible warning.
  10. hallo
  11. I believe the GE350 is refernece to GSM module. What is the panel? If you don't know look here and see if you can recognise it? You should see a warning indication on the panel, might be low batt.
  12. Yes.. haha.. replaced all the batts and still getting a beep..but system is clear of errors. Bloody Co2 alarm in same room as panel was flat.
  13. Star, thnak you! Am I right in thinking you can run normal Cat5 with SWA because the metal in armour stops EMF?
  14. Need to run a cat5 externally undergound 70m ( Can be small 20mm ), what type of containment do you reccommend that's not going to cost a bomb?
  15. Visonic Powermax Pro = nicer version of the complete. Both good panels but the kit is 1 way. Powemaster is the newer of the bunch and you wan't to go for the 33. This allows you to connect wireless keypad ontop of DT's, Sirens etc.. This is all 2 way and the more advanced stuff.
  16. No but as a test let it run, see what results come back.
  17. The Enforcer (as im aware) is text only. You need to leave the ARC number in and on the next menu it will allow you to input your phone no. The only control methods are via the HomeControl+ which is a different panel.
  18. That is impressive! A company I worked for used Indigo Vision recording on Dell's setup as NVR's for all high end sites. it's good, but has it's issues with with ONVIF cameras. Dahua will be fine, why is it marked so low? The only time you can get away with high end/priced systems is local authorities and large institutions. Dahua would happily run on your small / medium or even large site. Distributers like COP will give you advanced replacement too! It can't be all bad if they stocking thousands of £'s worth of gear and supprting a business focusing on one brand. Yes it's chinky (a lot of brands are!) but i'd class it top end of the spectrum.
  19. MOAN UP! Ditto, them new HADEC 3 pile o **** cameras that capture you for doing 1MPH over the limit, painted teh ****ers grey on left side if the gantry. I get it speeding is wrong, but sometimes doing 80MPH at 2am on a empty motorway is acceptable. But they just make driving a ******* nightmare, espically London. 20MPH!!! Do you know how easy it is to creep to 25/30 when concentrating on cyclists and other **** heads on the road, then they plonk a bloody speed camera. I could forgive all this, except the state of the motorways. The M25 is a joke, massive pot holes and rough surfaces. Not on considering the revene that is generated. /rant over
  20. Oh dear, could see the crown slipping! Heard even Synetics has fallen on hard times
  21. I've dealt with it twice, both times was a ache, to the point I had no visible way to wire a internal sounder in. I think it's a case of stick to what you know, Castle is tried and tested. Just because a multinational uses the kit everyday doesnt make it good! Again, personal preference.
  22. I'm intruigiued, this panel 'Honeywell lesucre wireless system' does it have main to that small keypad or bell? Ask as I had a survey this weekend with the same system! I would avoid Galaxy as my prerference go with Castle!
  23. Hi The 'white grills' are the pet friendly version.
  24. I've only touched Hik / Dahua as Chinese brands go, and all of the top end brands that you'd never sell in a domestic!
