Orderd myself a G2 to have a play about with. Thinkng about getting an ip module aswell and setting that up. Can you get an app for it ?. When i worked at the arc one of the installers used to ring us to set his alarm on his house this was using software called galaxy gold just basically keypad on a screen, do they still do this ?

I programmed - S FRI ON 20.:00 - SAT OFF 08:00 Didn't have a Close signal to arc so assuming it hasn't set. Set output was reflexed so this should follow any set even without code will check log on monday

Does Group A1 have to be selected for it to set the system do you know ?. I have not set up groups on the system though but thought this might have to be put into the system for it to SET, Just assuming group A1 is everything on the Panel Circuits ?

yeah i put times in the autoset for tonight so hopefully should go to plan got set output set as a reflex so should send close hopefully. can than ceck at arc see if its worked ok

Just a quick one option 65 if you plan on using autoset feature do you have to programme the times into submenu 1 timer A. Or can I just put the date & time direct into submenu 3 Autoset ? Many Thanks

james thought so not done much with galaxys before just did not want to go sticking random stuff in terminals, Googled the price of a G3-520 & seen what it cost

Hi Guys just a quick one regarding strobe output on the panel where do I connect the strobe neg single wire from EWD. I have connected it on RIO2 on panel doesn't work. Do I have to put a neggative on the other left hand terminal of output 2 for it to work / switch over ? Output 1002 is Strobe Latched for your help guys I mean ground neg sorry

Yeah if its weathered no probs replacing but no point changing it for a bit of dirt quick wipe sort it out.

Does anyone else actually clean there EWDs ? Only takes a minute if you got the ladder out it always looks better when clean well unless its weathered badly. Plus its your firms advertisement as well, the smarter you make the company look possibly get more work. another pet hate is seeing a nice new bell box with 3 old ones on same house, just think what a lazy sod so potential customers can see this probably think the same too. Plus why advertise the competition. Or am i just a bit OCD lol

Little story now back in 2007 worked in a ARC, we took on a new installer and had to upgrade the software from mini bold to bold Gemini. We where just all used to Digis on Fast Format, RedCare, Webway. Never dealt with Contact ID before got all sorts signals we never seen before. The alarm firm would tell customers anything to get it.installed firm has been on watchdog too lol So when ever we used to get a Burglary Cancel we just shut it down, Cant mention too much, But one morning we received a Burglary yes was via the front door, so you know the drill on this one. we then received Cancel Code, Shut down jobs a good one, Turned out the front door had been booted in and by 4 blokes in balaclavas the guys then been ripped bloke out of his bed at gunpoint and forced to turn off the alarm. Then his safe was swiftly emptied. In the meantime they are waiting like lemons for the police to arrive........ Then the alarm co go out programme in a duress code for them, then we get a new procedure call every customer even if a cancel or restore is received as it gives them the opportunity to give the duress password over the phone. I know they did stop duress codes at one point didn't they ?? Last time i looked you could now use a duress code but has to be identified as such can not use same channel as Personal Attack & it must be agreed with the force issuing the URN. Is this still the case. and do you guys use them much ?

Good Evening all, Been looking at getting myself a ECS Card Unskilled Grade as don't have NVQ3 & 17th Edition, Just to get me on a site. Booked a place on a H&S Course but not paid yet cant see the point if i am unable to get a card. I have a C&G certificate 1853-02 (Intruder) But the application form only shows C&G1852/01, C&G1851, C&G1852. I can only assume they must not accept the 1853 for a card ?? Thanks in advance for your help & info
