  4. The guy at who did our course loved scantronic panels kept going on about LIMS us young ones where like whats he on about lol then he explained, I have only worked on a few must admit they seem pretty solid once you get round the programming. Wondered when i defaulted my first ever one put engineer code in kept pressing it in and wouldnt have it, only forgot.to press a certain number first. Remember that for next time

  7. Wouldnt happen to be the one Link Integrated was on was it, my mate actually made it onto that one lol
  8. Ive never actually done anything wireless through wifi before. Would have been a test it out job really. I have seen wireless done over microwave & repeaters on a construction site but wouldnt even know where to start to be honest at actually fitting it. I know the allignment gotta be spot on thats about it Video wasnt bad either odd drop out every now and then but acceptable
  9. Nah not a problem at all. i havent done it before no just normally over PoE it should work as its just looking for an internal ip address. So i cant see why it wouldnt.
  10. Thanks guys i will have a look the trainers where easier to get on and off on domestic jobs some of them carpets are like wow, type of houses.where they dont bat an eye lid at getting a xseries ptz, just get it lol. Best keep them on as.one.day bound.to.drop something on my foot. Do u guys use shoe.covers or if just asked by client
  11. Can anyone recommend any decent work boots ? I have some trainer type ones but theyve had it now tbh not that comfy really
  12. Local guarding firm contacted me to do some installs for them for a pub, they emailed me saying the customer wants the whole system wireless and they need 8 cameras, red flags are coming up now but went along with it. Got the cctv recording requirements for licencing from the council and put togeather a price. Was gonna use all hik DS—7608NI-E2—8P—A. 8CH NVR DS—2CD2432F-IW 3MP. wifi IPC Purple 4TB HDD POE injectors I sent them.a price for gear plus my labour, then they email me back saying can you do a price for wired. They looked on eBay and they seen some kits that look good You either want wired or wireless. Im not even entertaining them tbh. Told them i havent got time to do it. Too busy. Sure someone else will jump at it.
  13. Always looks smarter in trunking in my opinion. Plus protects from accidental damage. Keypads more likely to get ripped off than cable cut during a break. Because all burglars know this will silence the sounders apparently. Then wonder why its not worked lol
  14. Well been for a few interviews last 2 weeks been to one today seems like a really decent firm tbh from the rest that ive seen, i could see myself being there a long time to be honest. Everything was offered from the outset aswell which was good, Didnt think i sold myself enough but can only hope they seen the potential in me. Plus theres a lad where i work who says to me if had your knowledge i wouldnt be sat here, so i can finally tell him i am leaving haha, . All my fingers and toes crossed. If i hear back from the chancer firm probably turn it down, As job security & progression at the top of my list
  15. Response differs force to force, police scotland muts nuts at responding as per say well lancashire no comment on that lol. Kent Fire no longer offer a response to AFAs even out of hours, have known a kh attend and put a small fire out then go home
