1) The supplier said if using 2.8-12mm Lens variable focus lens by hand, the camera is in fixed position. You will not change again. So it is meaningless .He said 4mm fixed is ok. What do you think guys and from the sound of his information he is provding me with fixed lens and NOT variable focus lens, as this is what i requested from the start. His camera is 3MP megapixel ,IR, 1/2.5 and 4mm. So 3MP is 3 megapixels, IR = infrared , 1/2.5 is this with lens size or to do with image size and the 4mm it will be the lens size. 2)when I buy the Dvr what information I need to know ,so I don’t get the basic ever , like for example so a 5MP DVR, it can record at 5MP on all 8 cameras at 12fps! . Sometimes lives pictures will be good quality and when watching the recording the quality may not that good or clear. To sixwheels. Generally I feel your wasting your time trying to point a camera onto public property, using neighbours walls, into a place you can't guarantee you will park on. Other 7 camera can monitor the house front, back yard and alleyway, so the investment won’t be wasted. I only have the problem offstreet parking, where I would of love to monitor my car.

Hi All, I have not got the price for the HIKVISION, supplier does sell this, so i am waiting on the price. They keep insisting the Dome camera are not waterproof and the Bullet camera is water proof. I have asked for HikVision and Hiwatch if they do sell this brand , I will find out Monday or Tuesday. when you install cctv it comes complete kit and you just need download the app for it to work on your mobile. so you are concerned about technical issues. Where you need to contact supplier for help and advice, but I can always contact my China colleague to sort it, as they said, they will sort with any problem or issues if I do have any.

Camera will be sent with our company goods, so duty and import cost will be covered by the company, i just need to pay for the Camera. I thought i buy direct from the wholesale CCTV supplier in China Dahua, as it is half the price from the Amazon. Andy our company installed it, but they are not that clever, so he told me to buy another Brand and one of the guys who i purchased told me he fits Dahua and it is a good brand and good quality, so this is the reason i thought i buy this brand Dahua. I have not purchased anything as yet, just doing my homework, getting prices, getting advice from you guys and then decide what to do.

Yes the Neighbour fine with it, as they are getting free security as well and free of charge. so it will go through Neighbour walls and same height Bt line, so it will not interfere with Long Ladders

This 50mtr is not straight forward, as it will be parked at the back of the house, so we have the alleyway and then the street, so i have to place the camera in the alleyway to face the exit of the alleyway, where i will have to park my car, so it can be visible from the street. Hi Norman, it is mostly terraced houses where I live and there used to be council garages up the road, but they have knocked down and it is just an empty land further up the road where I live, it is 95% off street parking and we have space in our garden, where we can turn it to driveway, but the council will not willing to talk and not interested. Well where I live is conservation area and to apply I need planning, submit planning , submit site plan, submit elevation plan, needs a heritage statement , need front elevation plan , which will jus t cost around £1000 and there is no guarantee for dropped kerb permission. I then have to pay county council for the dropped kerb on top of the planning fees. i searched internet round our area for garages to rent and there none available for rent.

CAT5e and RG59+2c both cables are fine then, as I thought the camera keep updating and I thought nowadays they used the CAT5e cable. small car camera or dash cams can this be used even when the car not in used, i very rarely used the car, I walk it to work, I work locally , sometimes it only gets moved once a week or if I am going out at weekend. I was told to use your dashcam it will work of your car 12volt battery and if you don’t use car often, battery will go dead. Parking space is not guaranteed, usually I put parking cones to reserve the space, they do get moved depending on each person, as cones are not guaranteed parking space if moved. Front of the property there is no Guarantee parking space, opposite side is all Double yellows lines and outside our house is parking space of 6 spaces and 40 houses wants to park outside our house. So it is like Whacky raves. So wireless camera is not option due to other factors.

Thanks James . soot meaning is there a burnt mark, getting me worried now. What is wrong with the wiring , so I can rectify.

What does TS means ? is my Panel overloaded, I never had any problems with the panel or Alarm since 2004/5 i never noticed the soot, I will have to investigate where the soot is. Just a curiosity, even if I used another company to monitor my Alarm system, if the burglar cut my home Bt line, would the monitoring company know or they see a Bt line gone Faulty and try and contact the owner on thier mobile phone , which is registered to them.

Understood your message, so i need the both Dialler and Separate Text GSM standalone and the franz.com Opentap will be No good , if the Bt cable is cut, so not text message or call. Hi SixWheeledBeast Ah Soot mark on the Veritas R8 panel you are talking about, just cleaned it, as i was installing the Dialler, but not had it serviced. What do i need to have it serviced, as it looked all ok to me. I never knew you had to serviced the Alarm panels. I thought it was cars, Boilers and bike i have this serviced, but never knew about the Alarm system.

Soot mark may be the screen cover , when you buy new, as I did not take this off. I am returning the speech only Dialler and he will send me the speech and text Diallers and it is costing me more in postage returning it twice, I should of bought it locally for all the hassle I have to go through, fitted twice and now I have to take it off , so power off and take battery out and take it off the wall. This is the reason I need a Text option to be sure the message gets through I'm thinking txt is better, This is just to call a friend or Family member who will be key holder when I'm working away a lot out of the country and it could dial his mobile but if no answer and its answered by voicemail will the message be lost due to normal answer message and speak after tone ......i.e will speech just start straight after answer and could fail to be recorded by voicemail? Hence I'm thinking txt is better and just send to mobile just to be on the safe side. I wanted both options speech and Text, just in case they don’t answer or missed the call, so the text will be more better chance as a back up , if the caller is missed.

MrHappy The Dialler is new , I don’t know what you mean soot mark i am i conversation with the guy, who I purchased the Dialler to see if he can exchange it to CGC-0001 speech and text, this is what I ordered.

Hi al yeti, Mine is Texecom Veritas R8, 3 keypads, 6 Zones, 1 bell box, 1 speech Dialler . i was speaking to franz.com and he said if you register your phone number, then we can send you the text or your registered email address as well. if I don’t register , then the binary bits will communicate with the Dialler and what ever Number is registered it will send text message. they charge per second while dialling, connection , as I thought it charged £0.50p per text. So if I have 8 people registered, then it will send 8 text and it will charge for each number stored on the Dialler. If you want to send 1 text only to one caller, then I need to remove 7 Numbers from the register list, otherwise you get charged for all 8 text. i also checked by pressing back arrow and number 4 on speech Dialler and it only shows SPEECH ONLY. so MrHappy was right, it has the features, but you can not use the text, strange why have feature when you can not use it.
