  1. I guess this is a bespoke thing, but if it is possible to find anywhere from the shelf to buy where could I get an extended "L" for maglocks? I need it for external use maglocks. In worst-case scenarios, I would drill myself the holes to match.
  2. This one looks cute, is it possible to find one with a calibration cert?
  3. At the same time, where would I get such training or knowledge related to card technologies in real life?
  4. I was told that I could read the number simply when reading the card. So I guess it is not encrypted. Otherwise, I won't be fighting here. The dashes in Sectors 1 and 2 are because I would think I read this card with mobile NFC? or should I consider something not good here? Well, I'm first time using this mobile app to read the card.
  5. Hi, I know it's my old topic, but I have come back to it. The complication is to understand Card formats and how to read the data. At the moment for example: I have a Mifare Classic 4K card the ACS system by default reads the first 32bit which is the Card Serial Numer (CSN) The system is CEMsys AC2000 I know that I need to read different numbers, which are 8-digit number encoded in Sector-1 Block-2. To read CSN in the card definition setting field of the AC2000 Start position - 1 My question is why is this not start from position - 0 ? As computers read from zero first? As otherwise then all pern doesn't match when counting bits? Or I'm wrong here? Field length - 32 this is where I match my understanding against the CSN as I can read and match the first 32bits (4bytes) or hex value, in the screenshot line 92 of my text editor where I have selected the value. So, if the block length is 128bit (per line), then my interesting data starts at the 6th line which is per block number [05] (text editor line 100) as it starts counting blocks from [00] in the sector [00]. This should mean that it should start read my interesting data from 641bit and the Field length should be 24bits (as 8 digit number fits in 3bytes https://www.rapidtables.com/convert/number/decimal-to-hex.html ) another question here is - if the 8-digit number is encoded in hex or it's just the same number but in numbers only? In other words to say, how the read data is interpreted? Or if the reader reads the CSN number and displays hext then my number also, should be displayed as simple as this? We are talking about reading unencrypted data, as I was told I should read this dara simply when scanning the card. So I have many unknowns in my head, which is why it is totally confusing. I need some guidance or tips. or anything. The
  6. Easy, just like that. Thanks boys.
  7. Sounds correct, but i don't know exactly. How this achievable? I would give a try.
  8. Hi boys and girls, I'm designing a one function for intruder alarm based on Honeywell Dimension Galaxy. I have got multiple panic alarm buttons and multiple relay outputs. I guess it will be Honeywell C074 Galaxy Series 4-Way Relay Interface and i would guess this will be connected on pin header. All will be as 24hour type of inputs and I need: when one or another zone (panic button) activated, to trigger one or another output, which will be C074. So if Zone1 activated Out1 activated, if Z2 activated out2 activated and so on. and keep output active until it zone changes the state. And keep normal 24hour zone monitoring as normal. I wonder if for that I will need to use Links (Option 54)? So before I will try to get all toughener I would need that some one confirm that is valid concept? So if I still missing something or maybe this totally nonsense? Any other info you need for this technical bit? Thank you.
  9. No it's not Security warehouse complain. It's general, applies to everyone who copy paste the same description from Honeywell website. :)
  10. That's the problem, it's not clear. And I can't confirm your clearingnes until I see proper pictures and descriptions. It's fine for those who have some experience with it, or for resellers as they can sell it either way or then sell something else if needs be. This was an issue with the designers for a couple of projects already, but this is only where I participated. They stated that this was what I needed and I 'knew' that it was not.
  11. I'm never had in my hands this module and there is not much great info o the net abut it. But let me know if I'm really have no clue what it is. From very poor quality picture on manufactures website I can see that it has no Ethernet port, I don't believe that it has external header for ethernet socket, that you have to buy separately. But in description its clearly stating that is "Ethernet" and in some lines even mentioned "LAN". https://buildings.honeywell.com/gb/en/products/by-category/control-panels/parts-and-accessories/enclosure-mounts-and-hardware/gt40-communications-module Only what I see is that manufacture this size has being lazy to make two different descriptions for two very different devices. https://prod-edam.honeywell.com/content/dam/honeywell-edam/hbt/en-us/documents/literature-and-specs/datasheets/HSGGT204001EN0512DSE%20pdf.pdf even herein the table the first row states that both modules supports Etherne. Same here https://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/intruder-alarm-c-36/intruder-alarm-ancillaries-c-36_46/honeywell-galaxy-dimension-gprsip-communications-module-p-3244.html So before I extend my complain let me know if I'm just wrong here and I need to go and review Wikipedia what's relates LAN and Ethernet? Or this device is just GSM type of device even it does carries the IP, but to plug in to it Ethernet plug, you have to have different module, for example like this https://buildings.honeywell.com/gb/en/products/by-category/building-management/networking/network-cards-and-modules/galaxy-dimension-ip-module ? Cheers for the beers
  12. Hi, Does anyone have ideas/experience upgrading the Honeywell Dimmension Galaxy C048 firmware? How painful it is, how easy to get the right newer firmware file, etc.? It's for personal use only, and I'm not willing to pay more than just a symbolic price. My board is C048-C-C1 V6.10 (says on a sticker on the main chip). What does it take to get a new firmware that fits in? What tools do I need? I understand the fact that buying from eBay may be worth the effort, but let's leave this for later. Thank you.
  13. Wiring issue/failure, or in some cases in alarm mode it shows blank, but accepts the PIN, then displays comes alive.
  14. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B084RJWXMK This one works for sure with win11 with no issues at all, Also, it has a blue LED on the connector, very cool. Best if you force this controller to be COM1 in Device Manager. It's possible this one will be selected automatically in RSS. Right-click on the USB to Serial device >> Properties Port Settings tab >> Advanced.. COM Port number (dropdown) select > COM1 If COM1 is in use but invisible, then on the Device Manager main menu click View > Show hidden devices. Select a greyed-out device with the COM1 and delete it. Then repeat the steps above.
  15. Hi boys and maybe some girls, In the past, when all the bits has been designed and given on the plate as needed I didn't have this problem. But lately, when I was thrown in to the ongoing random "mess", I realise that, I need to get my head around about understanding card types, bits and ideally how quickly figure out what card type is and what should work with what. When questions comes with bit and types. Then including enrolment card readers, that is possible to be programmed to read different formats and so on. Ideally would be, to find some on-line training or maybe guides that could put me on the right way. Any techniques to figure out card types? Any device to buy or? So long story short, I need some nitty-gritty guidance on card types. No **** please. Cheers for the beers.
  16. Hi, I will need to wire up quite few access control panels with mostly all the cables from devices wired with Cat5e FTP cables, well... only supplies for the locks 1.5mm twin cable. Panels itself quite roomy but I'm unsure how to make it look good inside with all those skinny solid strand twisted wires. Is there maybe (at least I couldn't find) a topic in this forum with some install pictures that I could browse? Any one maybe have any pictures for sharing in this topic? Or maybe suggestions? I know it's not end of the world, but I would like to make it nice looking. Thanks.
  17. Are those sentences related to each other? Tell that story, old man.
  18. Yes. Just need to sort all the error messages that apers when setting the system. In my case that 'Line Fail' was killing me. Just in case anyone else has it and not using the line then it's in 56.1.10.1.0
  19. Did you sorted that?
  20. Nice one. This means it does work. I just expected it to be more instantaneous, when presenting the fob. Thank you.
  21. Thanks for letting me know. ? Not sure if I have to crate a new topic but will try to not. I have go other question: Should the number on the fob and what reader sees be the same? In my case it's not and fob doesn't do much when programmed in and presented to the reader, for example to do timed set. I have some glitches on the system. So its hard to learn without knowing how the system must really act in first place.
  22. Oh ****. Is this related with 51.03.1 Abort Time? I have had time to understand real meaning and use of it. Or else? thanks for info as i was banging my head in to the wall.
  23. Yech. It's FW v6.10., I'd anddoes complain about line error. There is an option to disable line interface, also it has some serious bugs, or it's *****up or I'm maybe missing something howto sett it up. For example the keypad doesn't allow to enter the code to unset the system during the entry time, so when alarm kicks in, o ly then it accepts key entries. Im just now in situation to find out if I can do firmware without buying any special software.
  24. That fellow has more videos related to those two communicators.
  25. hi, How you would describe what is the Soak Test? And how the days are related to it? For example in Honeywell Galaxy there is option to set days from 1 to 14days. Would be intesting to understand the whole concept of it. Tank you
