It literally does fall as a scam
Convincing customers that it does something even though it doesn't
Verisure installers have advised themselves as NSI gold approved
they had a **** ton of adverts taken down for false information even including thier slogan "the most advanced alarm system on the market"
The dishonest payments even after the client has cancelled
It is a scam
from all the experiences I delt with them you first pay £200 or £500 to purchase the equipment then the ever increasing monitoring fee they don't have police monitoring no matter how much they want you to think they do instead the "guard response" is where the installer drives to your house. Sits in thier car for 5 minutes then drive off
If you cancel though they will take the equipment you paid for with no refund and charge you £90 to remove it and oh yea the £50 monitoring fee doesn't get cancelled until you block the direct debit payments
I am a horrible person however I'm not horrible enough to have them fall for the scams of verisure and possibly have thier insurance voided without them even knowing
It's a common problem with all texecom veritas panels with the voltage regulator it doesn't even have to be overloaded for it to get very hot I never seen one that has not had this problem its just the design flaw all of these have
Just make sure to replace the battery and check the charger
I wouldn't be employable as I have autism and several other disabilities which would make me not wanted or capable of employment
However I'm doing quite well for business since I only change for parts and take a donation for labour helping people get alarm systems for those who wouldn't be able to afford it from a normal company I also been put off from working for a company (not saying all are but the 2 most local ones to me) as I seen so many awful installations and some that are downright deathtraps from these companies
Most of my panels are not on wifi they are hard wired
Almost all of (in my case) domestic situations do not care about the whole £2 they get off a year they want it just as a deterrent they adamantly do not want monitoring or any other pay monthly system and the app is just frosting on top
Having the ability to just check up on the house even if it's not 100% reliable is better than a bells only system which they would have had instead
And in fairness any sort of external notification is a blessing as most systems I work on are just bells only when they really should have monitoring or they had monitoring but cancelled it
And for that 1% that it can fail doesn't make the other 99% not worth it
And be honest what is the likelyhood for someone to attack a wifi network and then break into a house at the same time or when the wifi is out to just to break into a house
For commercial yes but for a small domestic how often would that happen
and how many customers are willing to pay £75 a year for commercial monitoring
You do get a panel offline message if the panel is disconnected from the Internet but that can take up to a hour to receive
I would recommend a system with GSM comms however if you don't want to get a sim card or if you don't want to do that you can use IP comms often incorporating app
Some good systems for this are pyronix, orisec, and HKC
Go to engineer
You have to first choose what part set program you want 1,2 or 3
Next you need to set it to either timed or silent set
Once you do this you will now have access to the other menus
On a system takeover of a galaxy changed bell from ADT to one of my bells went in to test and tested bell and in the false ceiling above the keypad there was a master blaster I think you can guess what happened next
In my defence there was no labeling and there was no way to know without looking in the false ceiling
EE is the entry exit zone and ET on the keypad is exit terminator so it can be quite confusing
If you thought that was embarrassing you should have seen my alarm service last week
