  1. Thanks again for your replies. As a DIY'er I've gone as far as I can (with your help) and I'm happy that the system works and the GSM dialler is now set to function as I want it. I may consider a panel upgrade in the future but I've decided to stick with what I've got as it all works !
  2. Thank you for your replies. Yes, the 3 wires from the panel was a puzzle to me too but I was convinced the alarm could be switched off remotely when activated - guess I was wrong ! I can only recall the alarm going off 2x in the 22 years it's been fitted. One time I wasn't far away from home and by the time I returned home the alarm & siren had stopped so maybe that the panel was set to sound the alarm only for a short pre-determined period making me think the remote disablement had worked. A follow up question - Are there alarm panels available today which can enable/disable the alarm remotely if required ? If so, any recommendations!
  3. Hi My house alarm has a fully working C&K Securit 800L Panel with a analogue SD1+ autodialler. BT have now 'upgraded' my phone line to digital and the autodialler is now redundant. I've purchased and fitted a GJD710 GSM Communicator with the 3 existing wires coming from the panel (+ - and trigger). This works and the dialler rings my mobile when the panel is activated. My problem is that the when the old autodialler rang my mobile, I would press 8 on my mobile keypad and the alarm & siren would switch off. I can't see anyway the new communicator can do this. Does anyone have any advice so I can get this working as before ? Thanks
