My son had accidentally cut through the alarm cabling during renovation. The cabling was repaired OK but on start-up the control panel showed !!!Check!!!! Low battery.
The battery voltage looked OK at 12v when disconnected from panel. The control panel circuit board has two fuses located in the top left hand quadrant looking at the panel. The F1 System Fuse is a 1 amp quick blow 20mm long and 5mm diameter. The F2 Misc Fuse is a 250 mA quick blow. In this instance the F1 fuse had blown. Not easy to see, need to remove from the sprung holder and check by eye or preferably with a meter which I have.
Also changed the battery as it was 10 years old. Sourced from NP7 -12 12V, 7.0Ah .roger
In this model there was an inline fuse in the battery positive (red) lead. This can be unscrewed to check visibly and confirm with meter.
There is also a mains fuse 250 mA slow blow if all power is lost to panel.
Fault fixed with Fuse F1 replacement.
