Hi all I have a little intercoms issue with a videx vx2200 I've been tasked with looking into, I'm more security so have only done a few door entry / Intercoms bits to date. I have a handset that isn't sounding when buzzed from the main panel or doesn't unlock the door. Supposedly worked fine up until recently. TIA

We've got a client who needs an audio / video intercom. Cabling was going to be really difficult so we recommended AES's Wireless system. Although the wireless side held up, the quality of the image was not great. Mostly this was due to the light background and dark foreground, making it difficult for the viewer to see the person's face clearly. Does anyone know of a video intercom whose camera can handle a light background. Ideally an intercom with a camera that has wide dynamic range, but I haven't been able to find one so far. Hi Everybody, I'm a multi disciplined subcontractor based in Cambridgeshire. I'm 35 & I've been working in security since 1997. For the last 5 years I've been self employed, mostly working away from home for national companies mainly in the west, but now I'm looking for something a little more local. Most notably over the last couple of years I have spent 8 months installing fire alarms in holidays chalets at Pontins in Weston super mare & since September last year I have been installing fire alarms in 19 new build projects for the MOD which is now nearing an end. Disciplines include Fire alarms, Intruder alarms, Access control, speech & video entry, CCTV, Vesda, disabled refuge, some knowledge of public address systems & hearing induction loops. I come with a CSCS card, SSTS site supervisor training, Ipaf, Pasma, asbestos awareness & I am CRB checked.
