I got fitted by a local electrician about two years ago a Visonic PowerMaxComplete Burgular Alarm to an apartment I own in Belfast which my daughter uses. It has been working well until about 3 weeks ago when it developed a fault where it showed a warning in the central display "SO1 Battery Low" and every minute it sounded an internal bleep. This can be silenced by the keyfob but it returns every 4 hrs. This is extremely annoying my young daughter but as she is out at work during the day she only hears it when she returns at 5 oclock. I tracked the Fault down to the external Siren and ordered up the two special batteries for the External Siren from Batteries Plus.co.uk. About a week later they arrived and I installed the new batteries but the Fault is still there. I have read a number of comments on here and other forums about this fault and it appears this fault is common but usually goes away after the batteries are replaced. Can anyone suggest how I solve this problem? Trying to solve this problem myself I had a quick look at the new batteries and I see a date of July 2019 printed on them......could this be the date that these batteries expire (which means I have been sold old batteries)? Surely not, or could that date be the date they where made? If this is a fault with the control panel in it's memory can I erase the fault by some code or is this the task for an Engineer to deal with and if so can anyone suggest a good Alarm Installer in the Belfast Area that installs or services Visonic PowerMaxComplete Burgular Alarms? I am desperate to get this solved for my daughter. I have texted a number of times the electrician that installed the equipment and it appears he doesn't want to know about the problem. It's a case of he has been paid his money (with a tip) and now isn't interested in fixing the fault or doesn't know how to fix it....whatever way I'll never use him again for anything. I have asked another local electrician could he fix it but he says he doesn't install burglar alarms for the very reason that they can be troublesome (which doesn't really help me but I understand....better to tell me that at the start before I end up paying loads for something he can't fix). So I would be very grateful if someone could help ....thanks
