So I forgot the password for logging into my the online account for my mobile number (I wanted to check credit) and I did "forgot password" which unfortunately sends a validation code to my SIM which is in the GSM unit. So I'm going to have to take it out and put it into a handset to get the code to change the password online. Really frustrating. When I installed the GSM unit after installing my alarm, I think I put the SIM in before I powered the GSM unit up or even the alarm board. Question is can I just pull the SIM out now with the GSM unit powered up or could it cause damage? Is it sufficient to just disable the GSM board from the engineer's menu? (9222 Disable GSM)

I had Risco Agility 3 with IP and GSM modules installed 2 days ago with Asda pay as you go card. The installer set up the Follow Me, I've added my phone numbers and from user menu sent test message. Received test message. But it seems that there is no message is actually sent during defined events, ie alarm. I even went to engineer menu and added event to send message for setting an alarm and still no luck. Anyone have any ideas? If someone can ping me an installer guide for agility 3 that might be helpful as I've used standard agility manual. Other question does anyone know how to set check balance using Asda sim? From website it should be text BAL to 2732, but setting it in panel and executing from user menu dont get me any results.

Hello guys, I have a Risco Agility 3 with IP and GSM - both comms working fine. I have defined two Follow Me (FM), 1 = Me via SMS and 2 = The Wife via SMS also. I as FM1 get all SMS for events defined no probs. However, FM2 (i.e. The wifes phone) does not get anything - her phone is defined correctly - FM test successful (she gets a text) and she can set/unset via sms no probs. Is this by design perhaps, that the system tries the FM numbers in order and if FM1 IS successful, i.e. a SMS was sent ok to FM1 THEN IT IGNORES ALL OTHER DEFINED FMs? If so then it's a bit silly, as we would both like to get SMS for all events defined. Any thought and ideas will be appreciated. Many thanks.

I am not a professional installer. I purchased enforcer-32-we with digi-gsm module 2 years before and installed at my home. It is working fine. The GSM module send alarm notifications by SMS. But I contacted the pyronix support and they told that the UK version does not support SMS remote control. Are there any cheapest options to include this feature to my system. If so please let me know the options clearly. I prefer GSM as it is more reliable as intruder can cut my telephone line before intrude. If this is not possible, I am ok with other options.

Hello all, A few months back I installed a Texecom Premier Elite 48 control panel, with Ricochet PIR's, door contacts, a could of hard wired devices. Along-side this system, I wanted to be able to be alerted to any alarms so bought a GSM communicator plugin for it. The part number is CEG1000. The set-up took a few reads of the manual, but I got there and it was all working very well, it was tested, receiving messages, replying to them and alerting me if an alarm was activated. A few weeks after installation the system started beeping intermittently and gave me an error message: ATH Path Fault COM1 Fault No ATS Available. I put it into engineer mode, disconnected the communicator from COM1, opened it up, gave it a good old clean out and plugged it back in. The system happily accepted it and all was right in the security world. The device then started to throw this error again, and it grew more frequent, first a month, then a fortnight, a week, a day, an hour, and now it is a matter of seconds. I'm wondering if someone could point me towards exactly what I should be looking at, as the cause of the issue. I have verified the sim card works, the panel is communicating with the GSM device and vice versa. Having looked around the forum I have found many people with this error, but they all seem to be using the DigiCom devices which are connected to the phone lines. The GSM module was bought second hand, so I am aware that this may play a part, but before I get in contact with the person it was purchased from, I want to make sure I rule out all other problems. Anything I can try and test would be greatly appreciated. John Picture of device: http://imgur.com/a/F3BU0 Picture of model: http://imgur.com/a/10vou

Hello,I've currently got no alarm at our property and were hoping someone could give me a few recommendations for a DIY HARD-WIRED system that I could install myself. My original budget was approx £500, however I've had an unexpected flood damage to the property, costing me hundreds of pounds, so unfortunately my budget is now no more than £350.I know it's much less, but I'd rather have some security system, than nothing at all as I'm going on a pre-booked holiday within the next 3 weeks. If possible, I'd like to have:- GSM UPGRADEABLE MODERN Much appreciate your help.
