  1. Hi everyone, Apologies if this has been asked before, but I have been unable to find an answer. I have an Optima XM home alarm and need to remove 2 PIRs after some building work was done on the house. I know which zones relate to which PIRs after doing a walk test. Could someone provide step by step instructions on how to do this please. Also, after disconnecting the power and taking off the front panel and then reversing, all LEDs are now on and all buttons unresponsive - is this normal and will the panel return to normal after a set amount of time? Thanks in advance!
  2. I recently found that the keypad on my Optima XM alarm was not working. I have changed the battery and managed to get it working. After doing this I decided to do a walk test to confirm that everything was working. Everything is working except zone 4 which has a PIR on the landing and a PIR in the kitchen. The PIR's both flash when I walk past but do not trigger the alarm. All connections appear to be OK The system was installed by builder 20 years ago and has worked well throughout (2 new batteries) Is it likely to be a faulty PIR? How do I find out which one? Thanks
