Hi Guys, Anybody have an idea about what are the specific differences between this 'Satel ' and 'Paradox' security systems, I found almost same available number of outputs and inputs and wireless systems. So whether it is by technology or by price which one is better. -
Hi All I am new to alarm systems, but find them interesting and currently upgrading my Old IDS system to a new Paradox MG5050 system. I was hoping that I could get some advice here, once complete I was thinking of creating a tutorial to help other DIY users. I have 3 x wired panic buttons that were in place from the previous system and 3 x Wireless REM101's I have added 3 x REM101's via Winload and made Button A/PGM Action 1 [8] Panic I have selected Zone1 as the panic zone (I assume I connect 3 x Wired Buttons to Zone1) I am then not sure what to select on PGM1 (For Panic) Do I select a Group and make all the wires panics belong to Group#8? And for PGM2 for the Normal Alarm to go through, what do I set that to? And then how should I wire My ADT Radio to the Board & PGMS’s? Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hey everyone, Do you guys have experience with DSC or Paradox or Satel alarms? I'm just starting to dig myself in to the topic of alarms and I intend to start by trying to set up a very simple very small Satel alarm for the shed. But later on I would like to learn a bit more and the 2 main companies offering courses are the alarm makes DSC and Paradox here. I have neither the time or the money to do both, plus I think at this level that might confuse me more than be helpful. If you are familiar with eiter (or hopefully both) which one would you recoomend? Points I would consider are for example: User friednliness, installer friendliness, quality of their products (from panles to sensors), fullness of the product range (if they offer solutions for most needs). I know most people are partial to the brand they know the best. Thanks for your input
