Rich Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 TVL or Television Lines refers to the amount of definable dark and light units of information a screen is able to reproduce in one horizontal line of an image. Pixels and TVL are closely related but are not the same thing. SDTV means Standard Definition Television, designed for TV Broadcasts over 480 TVL.
