alterEGO Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 Full of something definitely I have a good suggestion for you....................................... Quote
PeterJames Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 I sometimes wonder why I did it but it hasnt stopped me starting negotiations to buy my second company doubling my size overnight doesnt seem daunting nor does the debt that comes with it. Its definitely stressful at the top but I have to feed this urge, and thats what motivates me to get out of bed in the morning Quote
whistle Posted December 11, 2010 Author Posted December 11, 2010 100% agreed peter, i am not happy unless i am in the thick of it, thats what drives me forward. Quote
whistle Posted November 12, 2011 Author Posted November 12, 2011 (edited) Well i thaught i would report back after almost 6 years.... We now have 8 members of staff offices 5 vans/cars on the road and more work than we can cope with and i am stressed out. But on the whole things have gone very well for us but my god it has been a 24/7 job to get here and cost me a few health problems due to being over worked The problem now is keeping on top of all the audits and paper work etc, and we are owed a fortune Thats ths way it is LOL.. If you are thinking of leaving a full time job to start up on your own and intend to make it work get ready for a lot of very hard work and if like me its going to be 12/15 hour days for years... alterEGO Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Not sure while your smiling at that. Good point. I had to remind myself a while back that we work to live and not live to work. Atleast thats what I told myself when I was in Las Vegas and Cancun this summer Quote
alterEGO Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Those 15 hour days take their toll on body and mind! I do 10-12 hrs most days, but you get used to that and if you can get a couple of those hours done at home it makes it easier to live with. Quote
PeterJames Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Not sure while your smiling at that. Its because it gave him an excuse to do a couple of lines Quote
