Aren't the 8 zone endstation out now Also new Blue lcd RKP There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots.
Guest Castellan Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Aren't the 8 zone endstation out now Also new Blue lcd RKP Sadly not yet .... The 8-input panel will be available during the summer. Pilot batch of new keypads starts rolling any day (in China) can't quote availability yet. In answer to earlier query, yes a lot of production (but not all) is carried out in the Pyronix factory in Hellaby - has been for several years in fact. Production quantities are not high enough to finance a surface mount assembly line in Winkfield - we are progressively moving production across. Grew out of a trade of their production facilities for our control panel technology for their export markets.
Guest Castellan Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 What is it with blue? You tell me - it seems to have become the "in" colour since blue LEDs became readily available, so the Sales people want blue on everything! I'm a techie, it doesn't make much difference to me. so long as mandatory indications are the right colour...

Yes I notice almost everyone is doing it - personally I haven't seen one that I like yet and for those with failing eyesight it is definitely a step backwards as the contrast seems poorer, (LCD screens of course!).
bellman Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Yes I notice almost everyone is doing it Hey, I got here first before everybody else jumped on the bandwagon. it is definitely a step backwards as the contrast seems poorer, (LCD screens of course!). Oh, I dunno, Have a look at mine below and tell me what you think. Regards Bellman Service Engineer and all round nice bloke ) The views above are mine and NOT those of my employer.
