Guest Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 NO, Im from the UK, just copied and pasted my text from my post on an american forum!Anyhow, on the other forum they where saying that the Samsung Techwin (520P) is a better quality camera then the 2391 which is a Samsung GVI not as good. So am confused as to which one to buy, have others had any experience of samsung GVI or Samsung Techwin ?? Ignore stevey, he's confused and makes a lot of stuff up.
ian.cant Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 The 520 is very good value for money, used with a day/night type lens you will get excellent images. As for the the 2391 well ive never seen one for sale here let alone used one.

Guest stevey Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 See my PM that I sent you. Are you going to be using IR lighting, if so what range as this could result in a focus shift; then you'd need to use a lens that uses a special type of glass that has a low refractive index.
Adi Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 Thought the glass was the same it was the coating that makes the difference. I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.
ian.cant Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 What type of day/night lens should I choose if I went for the 520P? Depending on the application i would use an Ernitec GA3V8NA 3-8mm Varifocal Aspherical lens.
UltraHighResolution Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Techwin every time, great cameras, if you have a little extra cash use the model up - SHC-721AP Higher res, better sensitivity, WDR and SSNR!! less than a 3rd more!!
