Guest ibruceuk Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 Hi people, I have a Galaxy 16+ and was just wondering what the Link A and Link B mean as zone attributes? what would they be used for? , Ian
norman Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 Hello Ian, the link function is used to link a zone to an output, i.e when the zone trips the link function causes the associated output to trip. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
Guest ibruceuk Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 Ah it all makes sense now, so I'd set a zone as Link A and an associated output (to maybe switch a light) as Link A as well. It all becomes clearer!
Guest ibruceuk Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 One more dumb question about "Link" attribute. What is the sub-attribute S, W or Z for? again. Ah it all makes sense now, so I'd set a zone as Link A and an associated output (to maybe switch a light) as Link A as well.It all becomes clearer!
Barsnake Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 I've Used The Link Zone Atrib' For A Circuit On a Side Gate To Chime And Do Nothing Else (No Output) Works Well Keep Meaning To Look At The G2 Book To See If You Can Do the Same
Guest ibruceuk Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 Does anyone know what the S,W or Z mean that you cycle through using # when you have selected Link A for a zone type? .
Barsnake Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 Its The SIA Programming Options Sprinker Fire Heat Gas Etc Etc For Comms
Guest ibruceuk Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 Its The SIA Programming OptionsSprinker Fire Heat Gas Etc Etc For Comms Wouldn't Fire etc go on a Fire Zone type instead of Link. What do the different ones mean. Also, can I have a zone linked to an output (i.e. Link A type) and also as an intruder zone that would activate a full alarm in the case of activation? again
