cjd Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Hi, i've just sold a thorn security keypad on ebay as it wasn't compatable with my galaxy 60 system, and the buyer has now emailed me to say that the keypad is locked out. Any one have any ideas what he can do to unlock it. I have no idea what happened to it before this as it wouldn't work on my system and I don't know what system it came off before mine. HELP
norman Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Thorn encrypted the data on the older Galaxy kit, if you have sold it as a 'thorn' RKP then i would explain, if you sold it as a 'Galaxy' RKP then a refund is in order. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
Nova-Security Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Locked out ? So did it work ? Thorn encryption good stuff, that stops it being sold on Ebay. www.nova-security.co.uk www.nsiapproved.co.uk No PMs please unless i know you or you are using this board with your proper name.

Can't be un-encrypted. It's a keypad specific to Thorn panels only, he needs a new panel or keypad by the sounds of it.
