Hi ,

By linking out the bell tamper , you could ensure that the rest of the system is working , all tampers clear , keypad beeping , walk test all detectors , set and unset , all without bothering the neighbours.

When you are satisfied that the repair that you have done has worked , attempt the bell , then if you have a fault , it is narrowed down to the bell circuit.

Regards.

Hi FastCar,

Just found a local shop with the correct fuses.

Have left siren wire in bell box disconnected for the moment.

Sequence of events .. Power to panel off- back up battery disconnected- inserted new fuse , re-connected battery replaced cover to panel, turned on main power supply.

All red lights on panel come on for a few seconds then go off- panel starts to beep, insert my user pin and press reset nothing happens- panel still beeps then internal noise from panel goes off.Checked all motion detectors they are now all working.

Only way to stop noise is to turn off main power and disconnect back up battery.

Help greatly appreciated

Hi ,

Have you tried the default user code 4,3,2,1.?

Rgs

Hi,

Nearly there I hope.

Ok entered default code -noise has stopped. Unset light on (unblinking)

If I now try a full set to leave the premises after entering my pin etc unset light does not blink and no exit tone. in fact nothing happens

What do I do about re-connecting the siren in the bell box, if I reconnect the wire, the siren will go off, or will it turn off after replacing the bell box cover and using my pin code on the panel and pressing reset. I am concerned that my code won't stop the siren?

Providing you reconnect it correctly and all covers are in place it should stop when you punch your code into the panel.

You pressed FULL after your code?

Are you trying to use your original code ? .....you will need to reprogram the panel , use the guide in the gallery to change the code.

Hi,

If i use my user pin the unset light does not flash -pressed full -nothing.

However if i use the default code the unset light does flash and get the audible tone -open door as if leaving the house, bleep continues then stops- unset light goes out.

I have reconnected the siren wire in the bell box replaced the cover- with siren screaming in my ear, after replacing the securing screw thereby closing the tamper switch- the siren stopped.

The internal alarm in panel was going off by the time I returned inside. entered my pin code- nothing happened, entered default code- this silenced alarm .

Brian

Hi,

Going from my user manual followed instructions to change code nothing happens, unset light does not blink after entering my original pin code.

Therefore do I firstly enter the default code instead of my pin then follow instructions eg

Default Code( instead of existing code)-Prog-60-new code-prog-reset -dont want to mess things up at this stage!

Thanks to everyone who is helping me

Do i use the default code?

eg

Default code (instead of existing code)/prog/60/new code/prog/reset.

That is the correct method to re-establish your usual user code, but be warned.... You have defaulted everything, not just your user code, so if the alarm was altered from default settings at the time of installation it may not perform as expected or as intended. For instance, if you have a personal attack button it will not work unless the alarm is set.
