Guest homealone Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Hi. I have had a nightmare day with my alarm going off at random. Finally gave up ghost this evening and I've been told over the phone that if the control panel and box are dead (no lights) it shouldn't go off again at least and I can sort it on Monday. But I am literally home alone all weekend, recently burgled and terrified. Will it come back on? What code should I try? Can I fix it? And can someone recommend an engineer in Birmingham?

Guest homealone Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 Have no idea. I do know that the attic spotlights have all blown too so it may be the electrics, but I still wouldn't know what to do. Any suggestions anyone? Much appreciated
Guest Alarm Guard Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 I am surprised that a local engineer hasn't contacted you from this site. I am unable to help you, because I am about 180 miles away.. My best advise would be to look at the SSAIB website www.ssaib.co.uk and find a local alarm co. and ring them in the morning. Ask them how much to call out and fix the problem. They should be able to give you a reasobaly good idea of cost. You could also try the NSI site..... but we are SSAIB registered so I am biased, and from my experience usually SSAIB registered companies are lower cost. Paul
