colin32 Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 We have a large number of installations using Ademco 4110,4140,4170 panels all using the 6128 keypad. The keypads wear out quickly and are now obsolete and proving hard to source.Does anyone know of an alternative keypad for these old panels. I know you can buy rubber contact repair kits but I am looking for a more permanent solution.
norman Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 No solution, panel changes I'm afraid, which is a shame as they are a great panel. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
1_hour_install Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 I was sure you could use the 6148, 6150 or 6160 keypads to replace the 6128. Or any codepad that fits the current vista panels which are available in the US and Australia (and other lucky countries). If you want one to test and can't get one over there let me know and i can organise one for you (I work for honeywell here). 6148 is the closest and cheapest to the 6128. Fixed english display with 12 buttons. P.S. it would be at wholesale plus postage with proper invoice from honeywell.
