cjd Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 hi all. I've posted various topics on this site, and so far I've had some great help from people. Hopfully you guys can help me again!! I've just installed a galaxy 60 system myself and have successfully programmed it etc and all works OK. I've got the appropriate eng. code and was wondering if someone could explain how to set up the duress code/function on it. It has the usual detectors and has 2 RKP's, if anyone can help with this it would be most appreciated. I've got some basic knowledge of the menus on the system but need a little help with this. Thanks
cdosrun Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Hi, I have been told on here before that duress codes are no longer allowed, but according to my manual, you can press the "#" key while the "Modify Level" option is selected (user level) to assign the user as a duress code. ian.cant Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 A Duress code is surely pointless unless the system is remotley monitored by a monitoring station who can then respond accordingly?
breff Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 A Duress code is surely pointless unless the system is remotley monitored by a monitoring station who can then respond accordingly? QFA, duress codes only allowed on grade 4 systems, totally pointless if the system isnt monitored, unless connected to a speech dialler to your own private army!!! The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
cjd Posted April 30, 2006 Author Posted April 30, 2006 ok, get the idea!! basically no point if my system isn't monitored then -which it aint. I can't afford a private army either LOL!!
whistle Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Yes you do press the # key to enable Duress if you need it.
