Guest fido Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 We have an acet door entry system which has decided to stop working..the code dosnt work anymore...any ideas how to fix it...there are six flats on the system...the intercoms still work though and there are no wires displaced...been down for a year now, and nobody seems to want to fix it...I am an electrician, but cant find any fault with it, or the lock mechanism. see...attached photo...
morph Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 How do you know its acet? What part of the country are you in? I recognise the panel, but would not have said it was acet? are the handsets acet or is the internal amp acet, the kyepad board is separate from the amp? When you say the code does not work? do you get any response when inputing, tones, leds etc?

It has "acet uk", stamped on it...and yes, all the internals..amp etc are too. the handsets have no markings. Im in Berkshire..The tones are ok..there are 3 leds' on the front panel..red, yellow and green..The green is on all the time...when the 4 digit code is entered..the red comes on and the green stays on also..Im thinkink maybe it just needs resetting..not sure. The code has always been set to the standard 1111 and wondered if someone unknowingly reset the codes, whilst messing with it. I said the intercoms work...thats true, however they wont open the door. Regards Scott
Guest fido Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 Are you able to get a picture of the internals? yup...sure can..
Guest fido Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 Are you able to get a picture of the internals? em...not really..im sure its just wires..
Guest fido Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 em...not really..im sure its just wires.. I do remember, that just before things went wrong, there was a power cut..if thats of any help...then when the code was entered, it acepted it ok, but it wouldnt trigger the door lock..then a while after that...the code entry went bums up.
Guest fido Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 A picture of the inside of the front door panel ! Sorry, Im not really sure where you mean. Its a glass fire door, and all thats visable is where the wiring goes into the door near the hinges. It runs through the inside of the door to the lock mechanism...theres nothing visable. Maybe the system needs to be reset after the power cut...is there a reset sequence?
