paul1471 Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 The other night my uncle got called out to alarm he arrived at the premises and the external bell was not flashing or sounding he walked up to the entrance and noticed the internal alarm sounding looking for the security gaurd inside he then went to the side of the building and seen the security gaurd stood there he started walking up he got closer and another guy apears its not the guard its two intruders wearing balaclavas they then basicaly tell him to get lost he then goes back to the car and the external siren is sounding and flashing why was this?
Service Engineer Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 Compulsary bell delay. Usually 10 minutes. But perhaps the external had already sounded for 20 minutes, and the intruders then re-triggered the system causing it to sound again. ........................................................ Anusoflannigan Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 What does your uncle do to be first on site? What does he drive.. the batmobile? thats a real speedy response

paul1471 Posted May 7, 2006 Author Posted May 7, 2006 on some alarm systems is there something where if one zone is triggered it will only sound the internal alarm sounder? As the intruders where in the building when the staff where there and when the security gaurd in the builduing locked up he went upstairs to sleep thats where they found him when the police arrived. apparantly they cut through the lock to get out would this have activated the external siren if the contact was triggered? Also that night he was driving the bosses car because he was on holiday and the other car was in the garrage so he was in a evo7
