Hi all am a bit new to playing with alarms and I have found a old logic 4 box in my garage.

Firstly does anyone know if there is a tamper switch in the case just so I dont get the alarm going mental when I have a look in it!

Secondly it is really old and certain sensors may have been taken taken off will I need to re programe the box or can the unused wires just be disconnected or will the alarm not notice if any there is no pir or contact at the ends of wires?

Third will it take moden PIR/contacts/bell box if any are broken?

Sorry if this is really stupid but I am just getting into this kind of stuff.

Any help would be great

Thanks

:smash:

you may find if it is that old, with as many faults you may be suggesting, that it's beyond economical repair. easier to have it replaced with a nice new one :P

There is.

There's not a lot of programming to be done on it tbh, most of it's preset bar a couple of hardwired links on the board for entry exit functions IIRC.

can the unused wires just be disconnected

Nope.

will the alarm not notice if any there is no pir or contact at the ends of wires?

Yep.

Third will it take moden PIR/contacts/bell box if any are broken?

Yes.
