Guest jimbray
I am installing a texecom premier 24 with speach dialer. I am put on it four heat rise detectors for fire purposes. However I have now been told i must have Fire Alarm call points next to the doors (church building). I know the texecom 24 is 12v - Fire systems are normaly 12. But the premier can be set for fire zones and dail out if there is a fire. I am allowd to put the call points on the alarm or do we need to install a fire alarm. Guest rjbsec
Wait for a fire professional to answer your query but I believe that church buildings do not come under the fire regulations in the same way as a normal public building so I doubt that a dedicated fire panel is needed (though it is obviously preferable). If I am correct, connecting call points to the security panel will be fine - they are designed to alert anyone in the property of the fire rather than to signal so they must have an audible response. As I said I am not a fire professional so wait for a comment from one of the fire members before proceeding.
