Guest Kath Brown Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 We've got an accenta 8 that had a PIR in the conservatory, which we have knocked down, leaving the PIR dangling outside. At this point everything was working ok, providing we omitted that one when using the alarm. We then removed the PIR to pull the wire through the wall to the inside of the house and reconnected it. various alarms and lights flashed until we entered the alarm code then everything looked normal. Except when we tried to use the alarm, it wouldn't work and we noticed all the PIR's aren't lit up at all, we've reset it, but still no joy. Anybody any ideas what's wrong or even better how to fix it?
morph Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 I think you will find that the 12volt auxiliary fuse has blown on the main control box circuit board. Colin.
Guest Kath Brown Posted January 12, 2004 Posted January 12, 2004 Colin Thanks, we've just replaced the fuse we think you're talking about, marked "F1 1.6A to protect +ve line of 12 volt battery", but the PIR's still aren't picking up movement. Have you any other ideas?
black knight Posted January 12, 2004 Posted January 12, 2004 there should be an another fuse marked aux supply or similar which will be the fuse controlling the output(power) to your pirs. paul THE BLACK KNIGHT "Any comments / opinions posted are my opinion only and do not represent those of my employer or Company."
