arfur mo
Hi everyone, Firstly, thanks for you replies. Opening the panel is no problem for me considering I personally installed the alarm just 3 weeks ago. james, i thought it was a plastic panel so oops! my error (Gardtec Fan), and a big thanks Mr Happy. i think i would ask for a replacement transformer as kit being so new, still thats for you to decide. noisy trannies can seem to be cured by adjusting the fixings, but usually return later, especially if the core plates are loose there is no real cure and will only get worse. i'd still mount the panel on a 20mm ply or chipboard base as described, on any domestic site if on a partition wall. no 'standard' decree's this it's just one of my little eccentric ways - i hate any avoidable go backs . regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!! Guest
.... a wee 'chap' (not tap) with a screwdriver - aka perhaps a gnome as a short engineer regs alan hmm - anyone voluntary for transalting that in to a pure neglish..
Guest ALSEC
Afraid I have to agree with Arfur, however, don't bother getting new trans as already tried this before with a new scanny suffering same problem. It's an unlucky choice of positioning of the panel and the only way to minimise (for good) is to mount on a firmer base..
